We know your going to love this one 🌸

For the very first time we are going to bring you a Dahlia Bouquet Workshop.

Come join us for some hands on fun this Autumn, let’s bring all the finishing colours of the locally grown flowers to the table and leave feeling refreshed, enthusiastic and delighted with your self, as you will have created your very own masterpiece unique to you.
Tea/Coffe will be served along with some delicious cake on arrival.
Sandra and Carly will walk and talk through how these flowers come from field to bouquet, meet the grower and the florist.
We look forward to hosting you 💐

Shout to the super *WINNING* Quiz Team from 𝐒𝐩𝐚 𝐖𝐈 (representing Quoile Area) who emerged victorious overall in last night's Federation Quiz Final 2026!

Big CONGRATULATIONS to the team - 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐞, 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐎’𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐞 & 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐥! 🥳

This event was hosted by the Magazine and Leisure Sub-Committee and featured intense competition across a variety of subjects, including current affairs, science, history, sports, entertainment, music and general knowledge. After several challenging rounds, Quoile Area emerged victorious, impressing everyone with their outstanding performance.
..Well done to the winners and thank you to everyone who took part and made the night such a success - a special mention must also go to our expert Quiz Master for the evening, and to Kells & Connor WI who provided great hospitality and catering.🙌

OUTDOOR BOWLS
Spa ladies accepted an invitation to Magheradroll ladies outdoor bowling club on Monday night where everyone was made very welcome. Under their guidance and expertise everyone managed to reach the other end of the bowling green with their bowls. The evening was cut short due to rain 🌧 but none the less we had a lovely time with the Spa ladies being encouraged to take up this new sport.

SPA WI BOOKCLUB📖
Spa Book Club headed to Dromore Book festival on Friday night. They had lovely food and drinks in Barrel and Bean before the short walk to St Colman's church for an evening with author Cecelia Ahern who was just delightful. She had everyone enthralled, talking about how she began writing and of meeting Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank onset during filming of her first book (all at the age of 21!). She happily answered the many and varied questions from the audience. She then proceeded to sign books for everyone who wanted them... given the length of the queue when we left, she may still be there.

SPRING FLOWERS MAY MEETING 💐

We were delighted to welcome Jamie Kelly from Jamies Greenhouse Journey when he demonstrated how to fill hanging baskets and pots. Lots of gardening questions were asked during this interactive session. Thanks to Jamie for an entertaining and informative evening.

A super sales table was packed with plants, crafts and fresh eggs.

*CHARITY QUIZ*
Spa WI recently held a charity quiz in the Lakeside, Downpatrick. Thanks to quizmaster Michael, hosts Margaret & Geoffrey from the Lakeside Inn and everyone who attended, or provided supper and ballot prizes. A cheque for £560 was gratefully received by Homestart (Down area) manager Imelda.

~𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔~
🎵🎹 The hills were alive with the sound of music in Templepatrick over the weekend when the Arts Sub-Committee hosted the Federation's annual Music Festival on Saturday, 18th April! 🎶

Choirs featured from Armoy, Ballyblack, Crumlin, Glarryford, Kells & Connor, Moneymore, Randalstown and Richhill WIs, as well as Iveagh, Quoile and Slemish Areas, all competing in a variety of classes, including 'Singing for Pleasure', 'Choral Folk' and 'Choral Sacred', with further solo performances in the 'Alto', 'Soprano', 'Folk/Ballad' and ‘Song from a Show’ sections. 💃🪩🎤

The adjudicator for the day was Anne McCambridge, renowned choir leader, vocal coach, and music educator with a lifelong passion for singing. Anne is known for her outreach work with organisations such as the Ulster Orchestra, the Royal Irish Academy of Music and NI Opera and is a regular presence in broadcast media, serving as the musical director for BBC Sing!, the BBC NI Children in Need Choir, and on the selection panel for BBC NI School Soloist of the Year.
