e're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. And because we're global, we can address challenges that go beyond borders. Antrim Coast Lions Club was chartered (started) in 1976. Over the last 44 years the Club and it's members have been at the centre of community activity and even more so in recent years since the reintroduction of the local charity carnival in 2001. Today in 2020 the Club continues it's commitment to causes locally and globally and this page will share information about Club activities and keep you informed of news at home and abroad where Lions Members serve. In 2001 Antrim Coast Lions Club received an International Certificate of Appreciation for its achievements in Community Service. The Club is known for it's ability to stay connected with the community it serves and for it's ability to make things happen! Please like our page and keep in touch!

We are deeply saddened following the death of Lion John Davison, and it was an honour for members of Antrim Coast Lions Club to attend his funeral today.

John was a dedicated and valued member for many years, always giving his time to support others and help those in need. He will be greatly missed by our club, the wider community, and his family and friends.

Our thoughts are with all who knew and loved him.

This is your chance to have a say in this year's Carnival. Why not come along with your ideas!

Ever wonder what happens to the pairs of glasses you donate?
Lion Gabriel has been busy packing up 1200 pairs for recycling. The glasses we collect are shipped to a Lions run facility called Medico France in Le Havre. From the centre in Le Havre glasses are sorted and graded and shipped to many countries around the world, such as Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Nigeria and Nepal. Quite an amazing journey and much better than ending up in land fill.
Thank you for your donations.

Leadership is not about titles — it’s about service.

Today, we spotlight Adam Wilkinson, Zone A Chair (2025–2026) and Past President of Antrim Coast Lions Club (2022–2024). With over four years in formal leadership roles, Adam has played a key part in strengthening local impact while representing Lions at national and international level.

From coordinating the Carnlough Summer Carnival to leading Christmas community programmes supporting children, senior citizens, and care homes, Adam’s work reflects Lions’ values in action. He has also played a key role in spectacle recycling campaigns, helping restore sight through international redistribution.

Adam’s leadership extends to the wider Lions network — contributing to the Europa Forum Planning Committee (IT & Logistics), serving as Belfast Liaison for the International Directors Meeting, and representing District 133 at international and European forums. In recognition of his dedication, he was awarded the Presidential Medal 2025 by International President A.P. Singh.

Strong communities are built by leaders who serve with purpose.
