Join us at ‘Behind the Smile’, an event focused around training and awareness of spotting the signs of domestic abuse for female client focused businesses, such as hairdressers and beauticians, delivered by Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Many people experiencing domestic abuse do not always disclose what is happening but trusted professionals, especially in female focused business areas are often in unique positions where they may notice subtle changes, signs or symptoms that an individual may need help or someone to talk too and who can signpost effectively.

Women's Aid was delighted to attend Business in the Community Northern Ireland's Healthy Working Lives Conference 2026.

NI's largest workplace wellbeing event, it was incredible to connect with over 170 HR professionals dedicated to creating positive, healthy and high-performing workplaces.

The Workplace Charter provides specialist training and accreditation, empowering people and workplaces to recognise and respond to domestic abuse.
