☀️ Summer Trip 2026 ☀️

We set off yesterday from Broughshane with our waterproof jackets and our fingers crossed that we would get some dry spells after the rain this week! ☔️

What a day we had - our first stop was Trench Farm Ballycastle where we met the wonderful alpacas and Pygmy goats, toasted marshmallows and enjoyed our packed lunches 🍴

We then spent some time in Ballycastle before making our way to Royal Court Hotel in Portrush for our wonderful dinner before coming home 🏠

A huge thank you to J&K Coaches and to all the businesses above who made our day so super!

Massive thank you also to our wonderful volunteers who without them Gateway wouldn’t operate 💘

We hope everyone has a fab summer and can’t wait to see you all back in September!

Have a look at our AI avatars based on ourselves - created during our last night of our Positive Identities Inclusive Futures program with Mencap in Northern Ireland and Belfast Electronic Arts!

We thought about what we would like to do in the future, something we would like to achieve and places we would like to go and it generated a selection of avatars for us to choose from!

Last night was a busy night at Gateway! We had 11 wonderful members participating in our workshop with BEAMA & Mencap where we drew our own animations and talked about what peace means for us individually. Our friends in Broughshane enjoyed a fun night too! We all had chips to celebrate the last club night of the year 🎊

We have one more night of BEAMA next week and we’re so looking forward to the final results!!
