Dear ladies,
we would like to thank everyone who attended our AGM on 15th April. We were delighted that so many members attended for our last meeting of the season.
For the AGM,
We enjoyed a welcome address from our president Ellie Kinghorn.
Apologies were received.
We confirmed the minutes, and discussed any correspondence.
We heard the secretary's report from Sue Rutherford.
The treasurer's report was given by Frances McCarthy.
The ballot was collected and processed for the new committee.
The new committee took office.
Trophies were presented.

Cup Winners for our 2025/2026 season are as follows.
Mary McPherson Quaich - Sue Rutherford
Marjorie Gordon Cup - Frances Mc Carthy
Presidents Cup - Jenny Mc Millan

We would like to thank the ladies from Campsie and Glassel SWI who counted the votes.

The committee for 2026/2027 is as follows

President - Ellie Kinghorn
Vice President- Rosalyn Luffman
Secretary- Sue Rutherford
Treasurer- Frances McCarthy
Press Officer- Nikki Grant
Competitions - Ros Luffman
Raffles - Katrine Reid assisted by Alison Hunt

Our new committee members are Isla Rattray, Fiona Henderson, Ros Luffman and Alison Hunt.

Standing down from the committee are Gill Main and Catherine Mitchell - we cannot thank them enough for all their hard work and support. Thankfully they will still be joining us at the meetings.

We enjoyed a glass of prosecco, a wonderful spread by our much appreciated hostesses, and a fun quiz from Rowan Jewellery which everyone enthusiastically took part in. (Everyone did very well!)

We would like to heartily thank all our wonderful members old and new. Ballater SWI is a vibrant, fun, welcoming association, and we could not do it without the active participation of our committee and members. Even more new members this year, thank you all for joining in.

We have our trip to Invercauld House Gardens to look forward to on Tuesday 19th May. Meet at the church at 6.15p.m.

The committee will be busily working on our schedule for 2026/27 which begins on Wednesday 16th September 2026.

Thank you to everyone who attended our evening with Paul Anderson and Ian Murray last night. We thoroughly enjoyed the stories and music of The Cairngorms and ending with Ballater.
From humour to macabre the stories told us so much of the history of our area. Thank you both for an entertaining and engaging evening.
Our Gin naming competition was won by Frances McCarthy and we all enjoyed the raffle.
The scone competition was won by Sue Rutherford - judged by Paul and Ian.
Thank you to our hostesses and everyone involved in setting up.

Bingo on Friday night!! Eyes down! Please remember to take something along for the raffle!! And some home baking if you can.

April is our AGM with a wee quiz from Rowan Jewellery.

Thank you all again.
