We don’t often share details of fundraising events, but like many of the local businesses who have donated prizes for the raffle, we wanted to support this local young person who is raising funds for their volunteering placement with the educational charity Project Trust.

There is a live music event on 22 November in McLintock Hall. You can also buy raffle tickets. Details of how to purchase a ticket for the event or raffle tickets are on the images below⬇️

Please see message below from Thomas Graham Library in Strathblane. The courses are open to anyone to attend.

The Thomas Graham Community Library has been operating now for over 2 years and in that time the Centre for Lifelong Learning at Strathclyde University has been running adult learning courses. These have covered a range of subjects, including modern languages, philosophy, political geography, genealogy, art, etc. This autumn term there will be courses in Spanish, Italian and Religious Imagery in Art.

We would like to know from you if there are any other courses you would like to do, including ideal days and time of day. Each course typically lasts 10 weeks and availability will depend on securing appropriate tutors.. Please let us know by emailing: [email protected].

The Village Phone Box Food Exchange on Dunmore Street was looking in great shape when it was visited by Chris Kane MP this week, thanks to EJS Landscape and Co-op.

Chris was interested to learn about how the phone box helps people out and reduces food waste.

Pictured are some of the people who help:
🌟Luci Rooney and her helpers who collect the donations and deliver many evenings to the phone box

It was a joy to see so many people come to litter pick and share memories about Lachlan Cameron. I think you would agree Lachie was one of a kind👑
Thanks to everyone who helped on Saturday. Luci Rooney for organising, Co-op for taking the recyclable soft plastic, Stirling Council for lending litter pickers and for taking the collected litter, Doyles Cafe for hosting the refreshments and everyone who came along.

Let’s carry on supporting community events, next up is Balfron Book Festival📚
