💜 A Lovely Afternoon at Connected Sundays! 🧠🌿

A huge thank you to all our wonderful families who joined us this afternoon for our Well-being Workshop. ✨️

A very special thank you to the brilliant Claudia Herman , Trauma-Focused Psychotherapist and author, for hosting such an interesting and engaging session.

Together, we explored how our brains work, understanding our emotions, how our bodies react to different feelings, self-acceptance and self-compassion. 🧠💭

Claudia helped us understand why we sometimes think, feel and react differently, and reminded us how important it is to be kind to ourselves and embrace what makes each of us unique. 💜

Thank you, Claudia, for sharing your knowledge and making these important topics so accessible and relatable for our younger children.

Our Connected Sundays are FREE thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund/ Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol . 🌈

All ages and abilities welcome. These sessions are for the whole family. No diagnoses is required.

If you feel your family would benefit from this type of environment book your next Sunday with us 😃 https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/connected-sundays-fun-for-neurodiverse-families-4418133?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=creatorshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=odclsxcollection&utm-source=cp&aff=escb

💜🏅 THEY DID IT!! BETHAN, SION & SION HAVE CONQUERED TOUGH MUDDER!! 🏅💜

15 kilometres, 20+ obstacles and a whole lot of mud later… THEY'VE DONE IT!! 🎉👏💪

From crawling through muddy trenches and tackling electric shocks ⚡ to scaling slippery walls, squeezing through tunnels and battling their way through water, it was truly terrifying!

I honestly can't thank these guys enough for putting themselves through all of that today to support our families. I was genuinely chocked up and incredibly grateful to them both. 🥰

Fundraisers like these are so important to us as a small organisation. They keep us afloat 💜

👏 Can we give these three absolute superstars a HUGE round of applause?! 👏

And if you haven't donated yet, their GoFundMe page is still open. Let's give them one final push towards their fundraising target as a massive thank you for everything they've achieved today! 🙌

💜 GOOD LUCK TO BETHAN & SION! 💜

Today they're taking on the 15km Tough Mudder challenge, tackling 20+ obstacles along the way! 😱💪

And this is no ordinary run! Think crawling through muddy trenches beneath electric wires ⚡, scaling towering slippery walls, scrambling through deep mud, squeezing through tunnels and swinging over water! 🥶🧗‍♀️

I know that would be sensory overload for me! 😟😂

And they're doing all this to raise money for Autistic Haven!💜🥰

They're so close to reaching their GoFundMe target, so let's see if we can get them over that fundraising finish line before they even reach the starting line! 🙌

Let's show Bethan and Sion how much our Autistic Haven followers appreciate what they're doing to support our families! 💜

Come on, Bethan and Sion! You've got this! 💪🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

💜 Let’s get Sion & Bethan over their fundraising target! 💜

This Saturday, two of our lovely Autistic Haven gang, Sion & Bethan, are taking on Tough Mudder Manchester to raise money for Autistic Haven! 🥰

Now, I knew it involved running and mud… but I’ve just looked at the course and OH MY GOODNESS! 😳😂

This is definitely not just a run!

They’ll be tackling a course packed with obstacles — crawling through mud and water, climbing, swinging and generally getting absolutely filthy… and apparently one obstacle even involves crawling through water underneath ELECTRICAL WIRES! ⚡😳

They are SO close to reaching their GoFundMe target, so let’s see if the Autistic Haven gang can give them one final push and get them over that finish line before Saturday. 🙌

Every £5, £10 or share will help. 💜

We are incredibly grateful that they have chosen to put themselves through all of this to support our families.

Good luck Sion & Bethan — we’ll all be cheering you on! 💪💜

🔎🧪 Connected Sunday got a little forensic today! 🧪🔎

Today we were joined by Xplore! Science Discovery Centre for a fascinating session exploring the science of forensics. 🕵️‍♀️

We had a go at face reconstruction and explored the science of fingerprints — with lots of curious minds getting involved and putting their detective skills to the test! 👀🔍

A huge thank you to Xplore! for another brilliant, hands-on and inclusive session. 💜

💜 Diolch enfawr i Glwb Ffermwyr Ifanc Sarnau! 💜

Rydym wrth ein boddau yn derbyn rhodd hael o £195 gan Glwb Ffermwyr Ifanc Sarnau.

Cyflwynodd Ioan Jones y siec i Toni Hall ar ran y Clwb.

Mae pob rhodd, boed yn fawr neu’n fach, yn gwneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol i’r hyn y gallwn ei ddarparu i blant a phobl ifanc awtistig a’u teuluoedd yn ein cymuned.

Fel mudiad bach, rydym yn gwerthfawrogi rhoddion fel hyn yn fawr iawn. Maent yn gwneud gwahaniaeth enfawr ac yn ein helpu i barhau i greu mannau diogel a chroesawgar lle mae pawb yn rhydd i fod ynddyn nhw eu hunain. 💜

Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb yng Nghlwb Ffermwyr Ifanc Sarnau am eich caredigrwydd a’ch cefnogaeth. Mae’n golygu cymaint i ni. 🫶

💜 A huge thank you to Sarnau Young Farmers Club! 💜

We were absolutely delighted to receive a generous £195 donation from the Young Farmers Club in Sarnau.

Ioan Jones kindly presented the cheque to Toni Hall on behalf of Autistic Haven.

Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference to what we can provide for autistic children, young people and their families in our community.

As a small organisation, donations like this are so appreciated. They make a huge difference and help us continue creating safe, welcoming spaces where everyone is free to be themselves. 💜

Thank you so much to everyone at Sarnau Young Farmers Club for your kindness and support. It really does mean a lot to us. 🫶
