We are excited to announce that the 22nd Bakewell International Day of Dance will be held on 27th June. Come and join us to celebrate the wonderful world of dance. We have over 30 fabulous dance groups who will fill the streets of Bakewell with their energy, their passion, their music and their smiles. Come and watch, enjoy and then have a go.

2026 Bakewell Pudding Race entries are officially OPEN! ⚡️

That’s right people we are BACK! And this year there’s going to be even more puddings than ever before! We have not one but TWO new races for you! Alongside our Fell Race and Fun Run we are adding a Junior Fell Race (for 14- 18yo) and a Little Kids Fun Run (for kids up to 7yo)!

Bakewell Carnival relies on our volunteers to help support across the events, from raft race waders and duck race watchers to Carnival day stewards and sports day referees.

Roles are varied and can be tailored to suit requests and available time, but if you would be interested or able to support, please register through the link and we will be in touch.

Our new website is live!

We've been working behind the scenes to bring you a new website for all things Bakewell Carnival.

The new site holds some new features, including a ‘What's On’ page where you can add any of the carnival dates to your diary and the ‘Get Involved’ page where you can register if you'd be interested in volunteering at any of the events. The site will be a constant development so please give it a visit and let us know if there is anything you'd like us to include in the future.

Have you got any old photos of Bakewell Carnival over the years?

We are looking at creating a more comprehensive write-up on Bakewell Carnival and its history, for this we need historical photos of the Carnival, Raft Race, Car Show, Well dressing or any other activities related to the carnival. Whether it's old family photos, your most memorable carnival moment ever or your favourite floats for yesterday years, we want to see your pictures or stories! ✨🎡 2026 Bakewell Carnival Royalty Selection & Disco 🎡✨

We’re so excited to invite you to the Bakewell Carnival 2026 Royalty Selection and Disco!

📍 The Working Men’s Club, Bakewell
📅 Friday 6th March
⏰ 7pm–8pm (Judging at 7:30pm)

We are looking for our 2026 Carnival Royalty:

👑 Carnival Queen – 12 years and up
👑 Princess – 8–11 years
🌹 Rosebud / Pageboy – 5–7 years

Entry forms will be available on the night.
A parent’s signature is required and all children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or carer.

💛 ALL CHILDREN from Bakewell and surrounding villages are warmly welcome to attend, enter and be part of this amazing experience! 💛

This is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends, build confidence, and be part of a very special Carnival Day on Saturday 4th July 2026, during our two-week celebrations running from 22nd June – 5th July 2026.

Bakewell Carnival 2026

Bakewell Carnival Committee would like to give notice and invite you all to our AGM meeting and 1st Planning Meeting of the year at Bakewell Working Men's Club at 7pm on Tuesday 25th November 2025.

Without new helpers this year Bakewell Carnival will not go ahead in 2026.

Please come along if you can help with any of the following, planning, advertising, marketing, paperwork, funding applications, printing, event management, fundraising , New Ideas, or just plain old manpower. All help will be welcomed. We have many jobs to go round.

Thank you all for the support you showed us back in July . We had a fantastic day and lots of funds were raised for community projects in and around Bakewell.

We hope the community will come together again now and keep this fantastic tradition alive.
