🎉 BAKEWELL CARNIVAL 2026 – WHAT’S NEXT FOR 2027?! 🎉

What a fabulous carnival we had in 2026! ❤️ A huge thank you to everyone who came along, got involved, supported our events, volunteered their time and helped make it so special. We couldn’t do it without you! 🥰👏

But now… our sights are set on BAKEWELL CARNIVAL 2027! 🎪🎈

We want to make next year bigger, better and more exciting than ever, and we need YOUR help! 👇

💭 We want to hear your opinions!
🎡 What would you love to see at next year’s carnival?
🎤 Are there any events or activities you’d like us to organise?
🍔 What stalls, food vendors or attractions would you like to see?
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 What would make carnival even better for families and children?
🎶 Would you like more entertainment, live music such as more bands in the arena, competitions or something completely different?
💡 Have you got any brilliant ideas that you think would make Bakewell Carnival even more special?

No idea is too big, too small or too out there! We want to hear from everyone – families, local businesses, residents, visitors and anyone who loves Bakewell Carnival ❤️

We aren’t promising they all can happen but we are most definitely here to listen and see what we can do!

👇 COMMENT BELOW AND LET US KNOW WHAT YOU’D LIKE TO SEE! 👇

Please share this post to help us reach as many people as possible. The more ideas we get, the better we can make Carnival 2027! 🎉

Time to get them Wellies and Wheelbarrows dusted off 🫣

Tonight see’s the annual return of one of the funniest and chaotic events of Bakewell Carnival week,

The Wellie and Wheelbarrow race 🥳🎉

Grab a teammate, get your wellies on, find a wheelbarrow and prepare for speed, skill, teamwork… and probably a few wobbles along the way!

Will you be the fastest pair in town? Or will you simply make it to the finish line with your dignity intact? 😅

Come along, cheer on the racers and enjoy a brilliant evening of carnival fun. Better still… get a team together and join in!

Tag the person you’d trust to push you to victory! 👇🤣

🌟 Last night was absolutely FABULOUS! 🌟

Thankyou so much to everyone who turned out to either take part in the raft race or to watch.

Also a huge shout out to all our marshalls (some of them even braved the water themselves🥶). Without your support we would not be able to keep this wonderful tradition going so again thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 🥰

We hope you all enjoyed the night and well done to every single one of you, get ready to run to mad 4 ink to see who’s won (we will let you know as soon as they know!) 🏆 👀

It's Raft Race and Tug of War night!

The rafts will begin assembling on the river side from 6.15pm tonight to be judged before the first raft sets off at 7.00pm so head down to the river to get the best spot!

Then after all the rafters have made their way down the river, the Tug of War will take place on the Recreation Ground at 8.00pm, with teams competing to see who has what it takes to be Bakewell Carnival Tug of War Champions! 💪

Don't forget to tag us in your photos, and see you for what is forecasted to be a great evening! ☀️
