This beautiful little boy arrived last night from Ashbourne covered in flystrike
I can honestly say I've never seen this amount of fly eggs on one hoglet before
They were all in his ears, around his legs, in his p***s, they were everywhere 🥺
Took over an hour to remove them before I could get him in the incubator to start gently warming him up but unfortunately his little body couldn't take it and he sadly passed away
His finder acted quickly when she found him but it was too late
The chances that this hoglet was seen before his finder did are quite high, the point of this post and message is please do not ignore and do not delay help for these precious creatures
Time is of the essence

Sorry I couldn't save you

This little monkey is off for release today after being found out during the day at Winster School
Dehydrated, diarrhoea and faecal sample revealed fluke & capillaria

Once brought back to the rescue and whilst I was getting his box ready he had escaped!

2 hours later I found him and he had climbed up nearly to the top of the stairs 😂

He was named Hamlin and i'm so pleased that he responded well to treatment and he will soon be back to causing chaos back in the wild.

I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Nick Loveday & Chris Thirtle for caring for him and the others whilst I was away

It is greatly appreciated

These 2 little beauties came in 20th June after being found on their own, one sibling had unfortunately passed away and later an adult was found sadly deceased which is believed to of been mum

They were found on a farm in Flagg and whilst I was away in Italy they went up to High Peak Hedgehog Rescue who has done amazing with them

They are thriving and growing up to be gorgeous little boys so I'd like to introduce you all to Jimmy & Hendrix

If you would like to donate to help support the rescue you can by PayPal, Bacs and later on today I will be updating my Amazon Wishlist
