The Hotel itself is composed of several distinctly individual parts, and although both its dining areas serve the same superb seasonal food menus, they offer customers a uniquely different experience. In the Stables Bar, guests can enjoy a variety of real ales and a fine wine selection with their meal, in the rustic environment of what was once a working stable, whilst those looking for a more traditional and cosmopolitan dining experience can relax and be taken care of in the Longstone Restaurant within the main Hotel. The Monsal Head has seven en-suite bedrooms in all, several with superlative views over the Dale. Residents may choose their dining venue, and are then afforded a peaceful retreat in the Ashford Lounge, which features comfortable seating, an open fire, reading materials and games. It’s plain to see why the area, and the Hotel, are amongst the most popular tourist attractions in Derbyshire, but don’t just take our word for it; why not come and experience it for yourself. Opening Hours Monday - Saturday: Noon - 10:00PM Sunday: Noon - 9.00PM The menus make use of quality vegetables, and fresh meat & game sourced from local award-winning butchers. The menus change seasonally and are supplemented by a daily specials board. All the dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to order by a team of Chefs under the watchful eye of Head Chef, Rob Cochran, who hails from Australia. On Sundays we serve a traditional Sunday roast served with duck fat roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire pudding & seasonal vegetables, all covered with our home made gravy. The Stables bar is open for drinks from 12pm daily, and serves a selection of real cask ales, wines, soft and hot drinks.
