Bagshot, Windlesham and Lightwater Dementia Action Alliance

Bagshot, Windlesham and Lightwater Dementia Action Alliance Our mission is simple. Through the delivery of free talks in the local community help our 3 villages become Dementia Friendly.

This page will give you up to date information on how the 3 villages are becoming more Dementia Friendly. The Three Villages Dementia Action Alliance Bagshot, Lightwater & Windlesham Initiative has been created to make a positive difference to the lives of people in our local community living with dementia and those who love them. The initiative has been set up by a small committee: Louise Aartsen

(Windle Valley Day Centre Bagshot), Melanie Grigg (Sunrise Senior Living Bagshot), Jane Knight (Lakeview Hallmark Care Home Lightwater), Lynne Luckey (All Saints Church Lightwater), Maggie Martin (Home Instead Senior Care Bagshot) and Cllr Jarmila Halovsky-Yu (Windlesham Parish Council & Lightwater Business Association). The first ambition of our initiative is to increase awareness of dementia in the area by delivering Dementia Friends Talks to local businesses, to help them understand some of the small, simple and easy changes they can make to become Dementia Friendly. These talks are one hour long and can be delivered to any local groups too, free of charge. Contact us for more details or register to attend the scheduled talks promoted on this page.
