Beaufort "Serial Killer" Hunt's closing meet, Upper Chalkley Farm, Hawkesbury. Saturday 14th March 2026
After being caught murdering several foxes and terrorising countless wildlife this season, we thought it only appropriate to give them a proper send off this season! Sixty sabs from 9 different groups descended on The Duke of Beaufort's closing meet at Upper Chalkely Farm and kept on their every move for the entire day.
This "prestigious" hunt regularly draws well over 200 riders but with the recent bad media attention, their numbers had dwindled to a pathetic field of under 50, with a handful made up by hunters who were visiting from Ireland and nursing hangovers after Cheltenhams Animal cruelty festival.
With so many footsabs positioned in well placed areas, we greeted them at every turn, keeping the hounds noses up and on the move, preventing any form of hunting. As usual, not a single courtesy trail was laid in front of watching eyes.
A couple of hours in, desperation tactics from riders began as sabs were ridden at and bumped into by multiple horses. One Sab was maliciously knocked down and had to be taken to A&E, thankfully they were ok. It was around this time that 5 Police riot vans and 4 patrol cars showed up in response to a "breach of the peace". They claimed to have no idea what goes on during a hunt, and had no interest investigating crimes currently being committed by the Beaufort. Including at this very time, terriermen in Swangrove being seen hovering around an artificial earth. Eventually the cops left, but not before creating a road block to let the hunt cross a busy A road. What a perfect waste of taxpayers hard earned money.
It was here that the hunt gathered at Manor Farm, Oldbury on the hill and from there rode north to another favourite wooded area, Park Wood, where they were met once again with friendly sab faces. They took off back to Swangrove to try to shake us off but not knowing what to do, they yo-yo'd back and forth, seeing sabs on every hill top, round every corner, down every valley; they headed back to Manor Farm at sunset to pack up around 5pm.
There were several instances of masked up Terriermen, always eager to hurl abuse at Sabs. If they were hunting within the law, why are they so aggressive?
Satisfied that the day had ended, Sabs reunited as one group to polish off the plant based sausage rolls. The hunt had no chance of fulfilling their sick blood lust for the day.
Please consider donating or buying merch so that we can give our trusty vehicle some TLC now that the season is over.
