Trish, Rachel, Clare and Amanda met Julie, and Chris from Incredible Edible this morning to discuss plans for the rec.

The planters will very soon be full of herbs and strawberries, and the raised beds will contain an array of veg, including chard, beetroot, salad leaves and lots of other deliciousness.

We've put up some screening against the fence where blackcurrants, raspberries and beans will hopefully go.

We've been discussing signage for information, encouragement to pick and use when ready, and to try and keep people off the plants.

We also cleared 4 bags of litter from the rec.

No photos today. Our workers often work so hard they are too busy to do that!

Trish and Amanda have been out on the Rec tackling the nettles and the weeds. During this growing season the brambles are often a trip hazard along the path, they also encroach into the bench areas but we are doing our best to keep on top of it.

Trish has the stings to prove it. Here is a question . Do nettle stings actually cure hayfever?

We have a very busy few weeks schedule working on our key areas at the Rose and Bowl car park, Riverside. Western Park, Path of History and the Butterfly garden.
