There is always a way back,
For World Mental Health Day, we’re continuing to share the lived experiences of our members and the different journeys that have shaped where they are today.

One of our members shared their experience of trauma, loss, PTSD and addiction, as well as the moment that changed their perspective and became a turning point in their life.

Their journey hasn’t been simple, but today they receive treatment and support for their mental health and shared one message they hope others can take from their story:

“There is always a way back, no matter how dark you think it is.”

Thank you to our member for trusting us with such a personal part of their story and allowing us to share it. If you’re struggling with your mental health, you don’t have to face it alone. Caramara Wellbeing Support is here if you’re looking for support or somewhere to start.

Positive words from our mebers!
For World Mental Health Day, we asked our members to share some positive words, thoughts and reminders that have helped them along the way.

Everyone’s experience with mental health is different, and so are the things that help us through the harder days. Today, we’re sharing a few words that mean something to the people in our Caramara Wellbeing Support community.

Maybe one of them is something you needed to hear today.

What words or reminder helps you when you’re having a difficult day?

Christmas Fayre preparations have made their way to the allotment! 🎄

David’s been swapping planting for a little woodworking this week, making and sanding down these wooden paddle ball games ready for our Christmas Fayre.

There’s still plenty happening at Craigie Allotment as the seasons change too, with a few last bits being harvested and lots of work going on behind the scenes.

And be honest… do you remember playing with one of these when you were younger? What other games instantly take you back to your childhood? 💭

The Caramara Wellbeing Support name has officially made its way onto The Place!

Our new signage is up at 56 Newmarket Street, giving our home in Ayr a brand new look to match our brand new name!

We might look a little different from the outside, but inside you’ll still find the same groups, familiar faces, support and plenty happening throughout the week.

If you’re passing Newmarket Street, you definitely won’t miss us now!

Cowboy hats on, country music up… the Dolly Parton Shindig did not disappoint! 🤠

Our Dolly Parton Shindig brought cowboy hats, plenty of tartan, music and a whole lot of fun to Caramara Wellbeing Support this week!

It was brilliant seeing everyone get into the spirit of the night, from the outfits to the singing, and spending an evening together doing something a little different.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, joined in and helped make the night what it was. 💛
