Stinchar Connection
Due to the closure of Main Street Colmonell, Colmonell from Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August, the Stinchar Connection service to Ballantrae will be cancelled on Tuesday 25 August and Thursday 27 August.

The Wednesday’s Stinchar Connections Services leaving at Girvan Academy at 4pm and Girvan Harbour at 6pm, will restart on Wednesday 26 August. Timetable information is at https://www.sacommunitytransport.org/stinchar-valley-ct/

The service will go to Barrhill first and a leg to Colmonell/Ballantrae if required, before returning on the same A714 route. The Barr Summer Bus Service will operate until Sunday 30 August. It is free to use and runs on:
• Wednesday; Leaving Girvan to Barr at 9;00pm
• Friday; Leaving Girvan to Barr at 10:20pm
• Sunday; Leaving Barr for Girvan at 12;30pm
• Leaving Girvan for Barr at 4;30pm and into Barr 5pm

South Ayrshire Community Transport (SACT) are looking to recruit a Driver for a School Contract based in Ayr.
• Position; 20hrs per week in School Term Time;
Weekdays, Mornings and Afternoons,
Mon-Wed 7.15am-9.15am/3.15pm-5.15pm,
Thurs-Fri 2.15pm-4.15pm
• Wage: Living Wage Rate of £13.45 per hr.
• Duties Included: Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any vehicle defects and faults; Be responsible for the safety and comfort of passengers and follow appropriate health and safety legislation; Maintain the vehicle driver’s records; Clean and maintain the vehicle while under your control as required at the beginning and end of shift.
• Requirement: Be a current member of the PVG scheme membership (Disclosure) or willing to have a check undertaken.
• Additional hours maybe available.

Barr 2026 Summer Bus
The Friday Service will how leave Girvan Harbour at 10.20pm.

The service also operates on Wednesday Evening leaving Girvan at 9;00pm and on a Sunday where it leaves Barr at 12;30pm into Girvan for 1pm and then leaving Girvan at 4;30pm and into Barr 5pm.
The service, which is free to use, will operate until Sunday 30 August and follows the CB8 Service Route.
