Calling all Tweens & Teens (11–16 years)! ☀️

Feeling a little bored at home this summer? Wishing you were out in the sunshine, no doom scrolling just new adventures, getting creative and making new friends?

Come along to our Summer Woodland Youth Clubs at Auchincruive!

Thanks to the generous support of South Ayrshire Youth Council, these sessions are fully funded and packed full of outdoor adventure:

🌿 Monday 27th July – Foraging & Fire Cooking
🏹 Monday 3rd August – Archery & Axe Throwing
🪵 Monday 10th August – Whittling & Wood Carving
🌱 Monday 17th August – Willow Weaving

🕐Times: 1pm-3.30pm
📍 Location: Acorn Adventures Forest School Outdoor Learning Centre, Auchincruive- on the Number 43/43A bus route

🔥🍡Snack and refreshments provided

There is absolutely no pressure to take part in every activity—just come along, give it a go and spend some time outdoors. You never know, you might discover a new hobby or make some great new friends!

Book onto individual days or join us for all four sessions via our website. We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations so that no funded spaces go unfilled.

Our hope is to build a fantastic group of young people and kickstart our Woodland Outdoor Adventure Youth Programme for Autumn 2026.

💜 Could you be the person who makes a difference for 'A'?

Right now, there's a lovely young girl in South Ayrshire waiting for someone to spend a little time with her.

'A' loves animals, trips to the cinema, gaming, music and football. She's fascinated by sea life (especially seals!), enjoys Chinese food and musical instruments, and would love someone to share some fun adventures with.

A few hours every couple of weeks could give her something to look forward to, build her confidence and remind her that someone believes in her.

You don't need any special qualifications; just kindness, reliability and a little spare time. We'll provide all the training and support you need.

If you've ever thought about volunteering, maybe this is the sign you've been waiting for.

Our office will be closed tomorrow as Aaron and Odette are heading to the Befriending Networks Roadshow in Glasgow.

We're looking forward to spending the day with other befriending organisations from across Scotland, sharing ideas, learning from each other and hopefully coming back full of inspiration.

There's always new things to learn, and we're excited to bring back fresh ideas that will help us continue providing the best possible support for children and young people across South Ayrshire😄

We'll be back in the office on Friday.

This week we're celebrating the incredible volunteers who give their time and kindness to support young people across South Ayrshire.

Every phone call, every outing, every conversation and every hour given helps a young person feel seen, valued and supported.

Our volunteers don't just give their time, they build confidence, create memories, provide stability and help young people discover just how much they're capable of.

To every one of our volunteers, thank you. You make a difference in ways that can't always be measured, but are felt every single day🧡

We’re incredibly grateful to have been awarded £1,000 from the Asda Foundation following a successful funding application.

As a small local charity, funding like this goes a long way and helps us continue supporting young people across South Ayrshire through one-to-one befriending, activities and new experiences.

A huge thank you to Dolora, Asda’s Community Champion, and everyone at Asda Foundation for their support and for recognising the difference that befriending can make in a young person’s life.

Every pound helps us build confidence and make sure local young people feel valued, supported and included.

Now the fun part begins – putting it to good use for the young people we support! 🧡🩵
