Today we're highlighting an important aspect that can sometimes be overlooked or misunderstood - payroll responsibilities.

If you employ your own Personal Assistant through Self-directed Support, you're technically an employer - which comes with payslips, tax, pension contributions and all the admin that nobody warns you about.

Getting on the property ladder and your first home can often feel daunting and out of reach.

Affordability checks can help you see if this is something you can afford or not - now or in the longer term

Taking a longer borrowing term can allow flexibility and repaying early when incomes increase

Mortgage terms of 30-40 years have become commonplace for younger borrowers, according to Sprive.

Yet if you are able to, one way you could reduce your mortgage term is by overpaying when you can.

Even a regular monthly overpayment of £20, £50 or £100 can substantially reduce the interest you pay and help clear your mortgage sooner!

There’s a little more happening than usual this week!

Alongside our regular timetable, we’re heading to Craigie Allotment on Wednesday for our Monthly Cookout, and Thursday marks the very first session of our new Women’s Group at Girvan Library!

There’s plenty happening across the week, from dropping into the Public Living Room to getting creative at the Women’s Shed, Poetry Plus and more.
