This wonderful pastel painting of a circus seal is by 7 year old Jessica Taylor. We loved how well Jessica controlled and blended her pastels to create the seal and her use of bright colours for her background. Well done on a beautiful painting Jessica! ⭐🎨

🎨 At The Little Art School Charity, we believe art is about so much more than learning to draw and paint. Our structured, step-by-step classes help children build confidence, resilience and self-belief in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether your child already loves art or is picking up a pencil for the first time, they'll be encouraged to learn new skills, celebrate their achievements and create artwork they can be truly proud of.

🩵 A huge thank you to one of our wonderful supporters, Ryan Barkley.

Ryan is raising money for our fantastic charity, Dementia Arts.

Ryan is taking on the Arran Challenge, all 7 courses on the Isle of Arran, 95 holes and over 20 miles of walking in one day to raise money for our charity.

We are incredibly grateful to Ryan for supporting our charity and helping us continue to bring confidence building art sessions to people living with dementia in care homes and community groups. Every donation helps us reach more people and continue providing opportunities for connection and moments of joy through art.

If you would like to help cheer Ryan on and support his fundraising efforts, any donation would be greatly appreciated. Link below,

This wonderful pastel painting of the Loch Ness Monster is by 8 year old Mila Czeremski. 🎨⭐

Mila attends our Foundation class where they have had a fantastic term painting 'A World of Myth and Fantasy'. Mila has skilfully used pastels to create this atmospheric landscape. We loved how the dramatic sky, reflections on the water and mysterious glimpse of Nessie all come together to create a painting full of mood and imagination. Well done Mila! ⭐

⭐ We are currently taking bookings for our new term classes, with studios in Kilmarnock and Ayr. For more information or to book a FREE trial class message or email Michelle at [email protected].

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our Coffee Morning last weekend. 🎨☕

We had no idea what to expect, and you completely blew us away.

You helped us raise £1,156. We counted it up afterwards and just couldn’t believe it. Every penny goes straight into keeping our free art classes running for the people in our community who need them most.

The raffle was drawn today too, and congratulations to Wendy Robinson, our lucky winner! 🎉

We came away from the morning feeling genuinely moved. Not just by the total, but by the people. The chats, the laughter, the reminder that there’s a real community behind this little charity. That means so much to us.

Free classes for children. Free classes for people living with dementia. None of it is possible without people like you turning up and getting behind us.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

This fantastic lion is by 7 year old Olivia Raleigh. 🦁

Olivia used pastels for her lion, a medium that can take a little time to get used to as artists learn how to blend colours and build texture. We think Olivia has done an amazing job, showing great patience and skill to create such a striking painting. We love the detail in the lion's features the mix of colours in it's mane to create texture. Excellent work Olivia, we hope you love your painting as much as we do! ⭐🎨

💜 This is a lovely story to share from our Dementia Arts charity,

Eddie has been attending our monthly art in a suitcase sessions in his care home for over a year. In the last 6 months he has been tackling the more complicated designs as his confidence grows.

Today he completed a wonderful painting of a jellyfish that he proudly took away in the basket on his walking aid.

Eddie then invited us to see his collection of artwork he has created in our classes. The artwork was proudly hung on his walls by his daughter. This was wonderful for us to see!

Eddie also took part in our Dementia Arts exhibition at the Cutty Sark last year. He said he had 'finally made it as an artist.'

Thank you Eddie for sharing your inspiring story with us!

For those living with dementia, creative activities like this can provide a sense of achievement, encourage social connection and create calm, enjoyable moments that support overall wellbeing and quality of life.
