☀️🍦 Sunshine, smiles… and ice cream! 🍦☀️

What a wonderful few days we’ve had making the most of the beautiful sunshine! ☀️🕶️

Residents from Templeton House have been enjoying relaxing Trishaw rides along Ayr’s stunning seafront, taking in the fresh sea air, beautiful views, and even making a few new four-legged friends along the way! 🐾🌊

Of course, no summer outing would be complete without an ice cream… and thanks to the incredible generosity of The Remedy Cafe, our residents were treated to a delicious ice cream to enjoy during their adventure. 🍦❤️

We also want to say thank you to our amazing volunteer pilots, who continue to give their time so generously to bring smiles to so many faces. 🚲💕

Here’s to many more sunny rides and happy memories this summer! ☀️

☀️🚲 SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! 🚲☀️

It’s fair to say June didn’t quite get the memo that it was supposed to be summer! 🌦️😂

We’ve had our fair share of cool temperatures, rain showers and checking weather apps more times than we’d like to admit… but that hasn’t stopped us…we’ve still managed to enjoy some lovely trishaw outings most weeks thanks to our fantastic volunteers and adventurous passengers.

Now, with the sunshine finally making a proper appearance, we’re looking forward to even more smiles, fresh air, seaside views, conversations, and special moments out on the trishaws. ☀️💛

Here’s hoping the good weather is here to stay for a while!

☀️🚲 COME AND SEE US AT THE AYR SUMMER FAYRE! 🚲☀️

We’re delighted to be taking our trishaws along to the Summer Fayre at Low Green, Ayr on Saturday 20th June! 🎉

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to ride on a trishaw, this is the perfect opportunity to come along, say hello to our amazing volunteers, and find out more about what we do here in Ayr.

Cycling Without Age is all about creating moments of joy, connection, and fresh air for people who might not otherwise get the chance to enjoy a ride along our beautiful coastline and local parks. 🌸

The Summer Fayre promises to be a fantastic family day out with:

🎪 Family entertainment
🍔 Food and refreshments
🎉 Lots of fun for all ages

☀️🚲 Big congratulations to our newest Trishaw pilot… THELMA! 🚲☀️

After completing her training, Thelma officially passed and is now a fully qualified volunteer Trishaw pilot 🎉👏

What a beautiful first ride too… taking residents from Airlie Care Home out along the Ayr seafront and into the sunshine for some fresh air, smiles, chats and a well-earned ice lolly at the end 🍦☀️

We’re absolutely delighted to have Thelma on the trishaw volunteer team and we know she’s going to bring so much joy to the residents she takes out on future rides.

☀️🚲 Sunshine, sea air and plenty of smiles today on our trishaw rides…

We had the pleasure of taking some wonderful passengers out, including Jessie & Peter, who have been married for an amazing 72 years ❤️

What a perfect day for Olive to try her very first trishaw ride and by the looks of things, she enjoyed herself 🥰🚲

These rides are always about fresh air, conversations, revisiting familiar places and enjoying a day out.

A big thank you to our brilliant volunteer pilots for making days like this possible ☀️

This weekend we enjoyed one of our new public trishaw rides, setting off from our seafront hub and heading towards the beautiful Alloway Tunnel Mural.

With sunshine overhead and stunning views along the coast, it was one of those days that reminds us how important simple pleasures can be… getting outdoors, sharing stories, feeling connected, and enjoying local attractions.

Moments like these are exactly why our trishaw rides matter 💛

💛 What a fantastic day at the Communities Fun Day in Ayr 💛

The place was absolutely buzzing… families enjoying activities, communities coming together and so many smiles all round 😊

We loved being part of such a special day and were delighted to see so many people stop by to learn about Trishaws… and of course enjoy a trishaw ride experience 🚲✨

Seeing the smiles is exactly why we do what we do.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, enjoyed a ride, chatted with the team and helped make the day so memorable 💛

This may well have been a 1st for the Trishaws ride out from Greenan Manor when Roy took his wife out on our ride out….and this was their Honeymoon 🤣…

This was such a fun trip out, rounded off in style when the are home staff celebrated with a glass of Prosecco 🥂 for the happy couple 💖

One of our Trishaw volunteer pilots was able to take her 91 year old mum out for a ride on the Trishaws while she was visiting on holiday…she doesn’t have any Trishaws where she lives and absolutely loved the experience…
Topped off with an ice cream from The Remedy Cafe 🍦😋
