🚨FUNDRAISING EVENT🚨
Saturday 15 August, 10am - 2pm, at Riverside Church

Join us for a cook-and-eat event led by our Trustee and volunteer, Gill Hyslop, a professional chef and international food editor. We’d love you to come along and enjoy the experience.
Spaces are limited and cost £30 per person. They’re filling quickly, so please sign up soon if you’d like to learn new skills and enjoy a four-course Italian-themed meal.

Recently had a tour of the gardens at Lochside Community Centre carefully created by Thriving Communities - Community Learning & Development Lochside Gardening Group. Just amazing to see the produce and flowers growing and the pride that the community members take in the work they have been doing.

The Gardening Group runs every Thursday afternoon and is well worth a visit, or even better come and roll your sleeves up and give them a hand!

VOLUNTEERS WEEK 2026
This week, we celebrated our incredible volunteers at the SAVA Awards, organised by Voluntary Action South Ayrshire.

Our volunteers were recognised for 1–5 years, 5–10 years, and 10–15 years of service. We were also delighted to celebrate Betty, who received a special Lifetime Award in recognition of her outstanding 15 years of volunteering with us.

It takes more than 40 hours of volunteering every week to sustain our current activities. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing team of people who give their time, skills, and, most importantly, their care to everyone who comes through our door.

THANK YOU to all our volunteers for your commitment and support — you truly are the heartbeat of our organisation.

Colin is a Trustee of RCT and a regular volunteer, sharing his knowledge and life experience with our team. We are humbled by him undertaking this gruelling 96 mile challenge and grateful to him for helping to raise vital funds to help us continue to serve the local community in a variety of ways.
