Andrew and Cheryl our funding team attended this afternoons CVOEA Third Sector Forum at WG13 in Kilmarnock. Great to hear of the outstanding work of the Sector across East Ayrshire and Raise awareness of our work across the area which is experiencing a big rise in referrals.

💙 HPX – The Hunner Percent Race 💙

This weekend, over two days, eeVo Training will be running HPX – The Hunner Percent Race in memory of our much-loved friend and Harbour Ayrshire founder, John Gilardi.

John had a lasting impact on so many people through his kindness, encouragement and belief in others. This special event will bring people together to honour his memory and celebrate the community spirit he inspired.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at eeVo Training for organising the event and choosing to support Harbour and the John Gilardi Legacy. It means a great deal to us and is a wonderful way to honour John’s memory. 💙

Whether you’re taking part, supporting someone or simply want to donate in John’s memory, every contribution will help his legacy live on.

💙 Supporting Peter’s Charity Ride for Harbour Ayrshire! 🛵

We’re delighted to share that Peter, one of our fantastic Men Only Time volunteers, is taking part in the 3 Towns Scooter Club End of Season Charity Ride Out on Sunday 4th October, raising funds for Harbour Ayrshire.

Setting off from Ayr Beach and heading to Largs, Peter will be joined by fellow scooter riders supporting him along the way.

Harbour is a cause very close to Peter’s heart. He knows first-hand the difference that recovery support can make and now gives his own time as a volunteer, supporting others on their recovery journey.

This is what recovery and community are all about – giving back, helping others and showing that change is possible. 💙

Every donation will help us continue supporting individuals and families affected by alcohol and drug addiction across Ayrshire.

A huge thank you to Peter and everyone from the 3 Towns Scooter Club for supporting Harbour. We’ll be cheering you on! 🛵👏💙

Come along and join us for a brilliant family day while raising money for Harbour Ayrshire and The Fire Fighters Charity ❤️

What an amazing effort from Derek Rossi, and everyone involved in A Jig for Gio. 💙

We are absolutely delighted that the day raised over £2,000 for Harbour Ayrshire. We can’t thank everyone enough for the time, effort and support that went into making the event such a success.

Days like this are about so much more than fundraising. A Jig for Gio brought friends and family together to celebrate and remember Big John (Gio), who is very much missed by us all. ❤️

To turn that love and remembrance into something that will help others makes the day even more special.

From everyone at Harbour Ayrshire, a massive thank you for thinking of us and for your incredible support. It really does mean a great deal to our whole team. 💙

🏆 CONGRATULATIONS JAMIE! 🏆

Everyone at Harbour Ayrshire would like to send a huge congratulations to Jamie on winning the Wellbeing Award at the Energy Safety Awards 2026! 👏💙

Jamie was nominated by his employer, Valaris, in recognition of his fantastic work with the V72 Better Days Ahead Mental Health Support Group, supporting individuals who may be struggling with their mental health and other related challenges.

Jamie has used his own lived experience to help and inspire others, demonstrating the incredible difference that talking, reaching out and having the right support can make.

At Harbour, we know just how powerful lived experience can be in giving others hope and showing that better days really are ahead.

A thoroughly deserved achievement. Well done Jamie – everyone at Harbour Ayrshire is incredibly proud of you! 💙👏

🎉 Celebrating 4 Years in Recovery!💜

Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone for our brilliant Digital Inclusion Officer, Vari Mcfadzean – 4 years in recovery! 👏

Vari is genuinely one of the kindest and hardest-working people you could ever meet. She gives so much to Harbour and to the people we support every single day.

Vari uses her own lived experience of accessing online recovery support to help others overcome digital barriers and connect with recovery. She understands first-hand just how important online support can be, particularly for people who may be isolated, unable to attend face-to-face meetings or simply need that extra connection.

Whether she’s helping someone get connected digitally, supporting people through difficult times, running our Zoom Room, or simply being there when someone needs encouragement, Vari always goes that extra mile.

Her own recovery journey is an inspiration, and the compassion, understanding and lived experience she brings to her role make a real difference to so many people.

Four years is an incredible achievement, Vari. Everyone at Harbour is so proud of you. 💜

Yesterday we celebrated an incredible milestone as Brandon marked 3 years in recovery.

Since beginning his recovery journey, Brandon has been a dedicated volunteer, giving his time to support Harbour and others in the recovery community. His commitment to helping others is a powerful example of what recovery can achieve.

Brandon is also officially a Harbour Ambassador, raising awareness of addiction and recovery within the local business community while helping to secure much-needed funding to ensure we can continue delivering our services across Ayrshire.

Congratulations, Brandon, on reaching this amazing milestone. Thank you for everything you do—we’re incredibly grateful to have you representing Harbour and showing what’s possible in recovery.

A huge congratulations to our volunteer Jake who has celebrated an incredible 1 year in recovery. 💙

In just one year, Jake has shown real commitment to his recovery while choosing to give back to others. He volunteers at our Men's Only Time group in Kilmarnock and is also part of our New Horizons recovery group at Ayr Hospital, supporting people at a crucial stage in their recovery journey.

Jake's willingness to share his lived experience offers hope, encouragement and reassurance to those taking their first steps towards recovery.

Congratulations on reaching this important milestone, Jake. We're proud to have you as part of the Harbour family and look forward to seeing what the future holds.
