We've been busy over the summer, our renovations continue on apace. The toilets are taking shape, the main hall is ready to be repainted, and our car park renovation starts tomorrow. Exciting times! Thanks so much to Cala Homes and their Community Pledge for all that they're doing for this community hub.

Don't forget about the HQ AGM this Tuesday evening at 7.30pm. We REALLY need more enthusiastic mums & dads to get involved with this Committe who work to look after the hut and grounds. It's not a huge commitment of time - just 5 meetings a year and some hours during a few occassionial weekends for working parties to help with grounds maintenance.

Running a Scout & Guide hut isn't all fun, games & lighting fires you know (though thats a big part of it to be honest).......many thanks to HQ Committee Member Colin, who was literally on his hands and knees mending a broken water pipe in our kitchen! Thanks mate....you saved the day!

Reckon you've got some skills and/or time to help us run the HQ, we'd love to hear from you. There's spaces on the HQ Committee too if you'd like to be more involved!

A huge thankyou AGAIN to the Arnold Clark Community Fund for supporting us as we start to consider redeveloping OUR hut (strange to think that it's finally ours!!!) New toilets don't come cheap!

It is with GREAT pleasure that we can finally announce, more than 2 years after we started the process, that the Bedgrove Scout & Guide HQ in Aylesbury is now the proud owner of our site. It's been a tremendous game of back and forth with the solicitors, with a huge amount of paperwork that we've had to sift through and scrutinise, but all of the hard work has finally paid off, and we now have our forever home, safeguarding Scouting & Guiding in Bedgrove permanently!!! Woop woop woop!!!!!

We still need to register the title with the Land Registry, and this may take some months yet, but from a legal standpoint, we are complete!

Thankyou to each and every one of you that has supported us on this journey, we couldnt have done it without you! Every bit of support has helped to secure our venue that will influence many, many generations of children in Bedgrove for decades to come (centuries to come perhaps????). I can't overstate it enough what a brilliant thing this is. Thank you all so much!

The first thing we want to do is to embark on some capital developments (principally, the complete renovation of our toilet facilities), and then would like to plan a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate our amazing achievement, which we would like to invite you to. The date is TBC, but hopefully, somewhere at the end of the summer?? We'll let you know a date once we arrange it.
