There's lots going on at the Axminster Heritage Centre next week!

First up on Tuesday 13th October it's our 2026 AGM at 6pm in the Bradshaw Meeting Room. Everyone is welcome to attend, so if you're interested in hearing about what's been going on at the centre in 2025/26 and what the future holds, please join us.

The following day (Wednesday 14th October) at 7:30pm in the Bradshaw Meeting Room we're excited to be joined by author Nigel Daniel who will be talking about 'A History of Axmouth Harbour.' Tickets £5.00 per person.

Last - but by no means least, on Saturday 17th October at 10:30am in the Bradshaw Meeting Room we are holding our third annual Ron Frampton Memorial Lecture dedicated to the late photographer Ron Frampton. This year's lecture is 'Early Axminster Photographers' by author Nigel Sadler of Sands of Time Consultancy. Tickets £5.00 per person.

As if that wasn't enough, we still have our temporary exhibition 'A Brief History of Healthcare in Axminster' on in the museum.
Museum entrance £4.00, members and under-17 free.

ON NOW! Coffee morning at the Axminster Heritage Centre. Hot drinks, delicious cakes, biscuits and lots of things for sale to browse!

We also have a raffle with some fantastic prizes! £1 per ticket. Draw takes place on Saturday 31st October 2026 in the museum. 🎃

Join us and our wonderful volunteers Greta and Diana for our fundraising coffee morning this Thursday morning (1st October) in the Bradshaw Meeting Room at Axminster Heritage Centre.

Between 9:30am - 12pm we will be offering tea, coffee, biscuits and the most delicious cakes all at a reasonable price. ☕️🍰

As if that wasn't enough, we will also have a wide range of bric-a-brac and books for sale along with a raffle with some fantastic prizes!

So if you're in town visiting Axminster's wonderful market and are feeling thirsty consider popping over to the heritage centre, grab a drink, put your feet up and help us raise some much needed funds for your local community museum. 🙏

Keen followers of the Axminster Heritage Centre will notice that our next talk is not actually about Axminster! 😲 Instead, on Wednesdsay 14th October at 7:30pm we are welcoming Nigel Daniel to the Bradshaw Meeting Room to talk about 'A History of Axmouth Harbour.'

Tickets £5 per person can be purchased from the heritage centre during opening hours, or reserved by emailing [email protected]

No need to book. Drop in anytime between 10am - 1pm to see our original Axminster Carpets, 1930s Crabtree Gripper loom operated by our fantastic volunteer weaver Richard.

As it's the last Saturday of the month EX13 residents are entitled to FREE ENTRY. £4 per person for non-EX13.
