We’re delighted to be partnering with Saving Wildcats on a large-scale mural at the Glenmore Visitor Centre.

The mural will wrap around the entrance to the Allt Mòr Café and will celebrate native species found across the Cairngorms, including those that share the same landscape as the recently released Scottish wildcats.

It will be a distinctive feature of the building and part of the welcome as people arrive at the Glenmore Visitor Centre.

Saving Wildcats have shared full details of the artist opportunity in their post, shared below👇

Great to see last week’s Strathy feature about our new feasibility study for a permanent ice facility in Aviemore.

We’re working with Advantage Sports Consultancy, who also delivered the original study that helped bring community ice back to Aviemore in 2021.

As Peter Gordon from Advantage Sports said: “We are delighted to support AGCT with a feasibility study for a permanent ice facility in Aviemore. This would build on the successful temporary facility that has been popular with the local community and the many visitors to the area. The permanent facility would be a major investment in the Highlands and the feasibility study is the first step in a long process to demonstrate the viability and sustainability of the ice facility.”

We’d like to give a big thanks to everyone supporting this important next step for community ice in Aviemore, the feasibility study is being funded with the support of the Cairngorms Trust and the Scottish Government in partnership with the Cairngorms National Park Authority and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
