On Monday our school community gathered to say goodbye to our P7 pupils at our Leavers' Assembly; an occasion filled with smiles, pride, applause and more than a few tears. Our Super Six P7 pupils, who first walked through the doors of St. Patrick’s seven years ago, are now leaving as kind, confident, talented and remarkable young people. Throughout their time in our school, they have been outstanding role models, achieving success across all areas of school life, from academic excellence and sporting achievements to leadership, music, drama and community involvement. They have represented our school with pride and created memories that will last a lifetime. As they prepare to begin an exciting new chapter, we thank them for the laughter, friendship, dedication and joy they have brought to our school family. You have left your mark on St. Patrick’s, and we are immensely proud of each and every one of you. We wish you every success and happiness in your new schools and we know you will continue to achieve great things.

Knockmany Running Club Summer Camp. Details below😎

20/06/2026

The Knockmany Cup Tournament took place today under damp and overcast conditions, but the weather did little to dampen the enthusiasm and determination of all who took part. Despite the challenging conditions, our boys and girls played with tremendous heart, skill and teamwork throughout the day.

Our girls, emerged victorious in the Shield Competition after a closely fought and exciting final against our neighbours, St. Macartan’s. It was a tense and competitive encounter, with very little separating the sides throughout. However, our girls held their nerve and showed great teamwork to secure the victory and claim the Fergal McCann Shield. This was a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved reward for the hard work and determination.

We are extremely proud of all our players who represented our school today. Well done to everyone involved, and a special congratulations to our girls on their brilliant win.

A massive thank you to our Parent Support Association, the staff of our school, the referees and the members of Augher Club whose hard work and support helped make the day a massive success.

Green Flag Award for Aughadarragh ♻️🌏

Yesterday, members of our Eco Team enjoyed a wonderful celebration at Pomeroy Forest Park for the Eco Schools Award Ceremony, where Mrs Donnelly proudly accompanied Jamie, Odhran, Grace and Órlaith to receive our school’s Green Flag Award!

Throughout the year, our Eco Team led the way with projects focused on biodiversity, healthy living, outdoor learning and sustainability. As a whole school, we have taken part in a wide range of Eco activities including Cash for Clobber, Local Litter Picks, Walk to School Week, Planting, Loose Parts Collection and many other initiatives that encourage pupils to care for their local environment and make sustainable choices every day.

We would like to extend a thank you to Live Here Love Here for hosting such a memorable event and for their continued support. Their encouragement and resources have helped inspire our pupils to take pride in their community and protect the beautiful area we call home.

This fantastic achievement reflects the dedication, enthusiasm and teamwork shown across our entire school community, including pupils, staff, families and local agencies, all of whom have played an important part in helping us reach this milestone once again. A huge well done and thank you for your continued support 💚
