Our fantastic P5-P7 pupils have been busy making a real difference in our local community as they took part in an Aughadarragh litter pick! The children took great pride in looking after their community, gathering several bin bags full of litter during their clean up walk.

A huge well done to all our pupils for showing such responsibility, teamwork, and care. Their efforts remind us how important it is to protect the beautiful area we live in.

We encourage everyone in our community to follow their example and help keep Aughadarragh clean!

St. Patrick’s Primary School Aughadarragh would like to thank The James Kane Foundation for their generous support in funding the purchase of new Chromebooks and a programme of STEM activities. The project aimed to spark interest in STEM by helping children make meaningful connections between classroom learning and real-world applications. Through hands-on experiences, pupils were given the opportunity to develop a clearer understanding of STEM-related roles and the pathways available to them in the future. A central priority was to ensure inclusivity and accessibility to all, encouraging both girls and boys to actively engage with STEM subjects.
The new resources have greatly enhanced our STEM activities and enriched our after-school programme, helping pupils develop valuable skills, confidence, and enthusiasm for learning which support their future learning and career aspirations.

We were delighted to welcome Séamas Mac Eochaidh to our school as part of our Scoil Spreagtha support visit!

A huge thank you to Séamas for delivering a terrific lesson with our P5–P7 pupils, including a fun game of Traitors to support the development of our Irish phrases. The children fully engaged and impressed him with their excellent Irish language skills, a wonderful showcase of their hard work and enthusiasm for our Irish Language.

Táimid an-bhródúil as ár ndaltaí!

What a fantastic day at the Canavan Cup!
Our boys' team showed tremendous determination and resilience, picking up an important win and battling hard in every game. Their effort, attitude, and commitment were a real credit to the school.
Meanwhile, our girls' team had an outstanding day, going all the way to the final of the Shield competition. A fantastic achievement that highlights their hard work, teamwork, and talent.
We are very proud of all our players who represented the school today.
Thank you to Mr McCann and all in St.Ciaran's College for hosting a wonderful tournament.
