From milk, pasta, bread and tinned foods to fresh produce and other everyday essentials, every donation helps us keep our shelves stocked and our van moving.

📅 Deadline: Wednesday 30th September 2026 at 9pm

Poverty is closer than many of us realise.

Across Bolton, thousands of families are living with the daily pressure of rising costs, low income and food insecurity.

📊 37% of children in Bolton live in poverty
🏘️ 46% of residents live in areas among England’s 20% most deprived
🍽️ 44% live in areas identified as being at the highest risk of food insecurity
💷 24% of workers in Bolton earn below the Real Living Wage

Nationally, millions of children and households are also experiencing financial hardship.

Behind every statistic is a person, a family and a household making difficult choices about food, heating, bills and other essentials.

At Crescent Food Bank, we continue to support our community with dignity, compassion and respect.

🌱 We Are No Ordinary Food Bank 💙

At Crescent Food Bank, we believe a food parcel should provide more than just food, it should provide care, dignity and hope.

Where possible, we use donated funds to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and healthier food options, because everyone deserves access to nutritious food.

We’re also proud to be 100% volunteer run. Every parcel is packed, every family is welcomed, and every act of kindness is made possible by volunteers who care deeply about our community.

One thing you’ll never see from us is photos of the people we support. We believe dignity matters, and respecting the privacy of our service users will always come before publicity.
