Right ladies, Friday 23rd October is your night, and apparently we need to agree on a film.

This should be painless. Said absolutely nobody who's ever tried getting a group of teenage girls to agree on anything. 🙄🤣

Your choices are:

🕯️ 5. Haunted Mansion – Ghosts, secrets and a house that's definitely not worth the mortgage.

🎬🍿 GIRLS' FILM NIGHT!

We're planning a girls' PJ and film night for our older Shakers girls on Friday 23rd October! 🩷

Think PJs, blankets, snacks and a film. Basically, an excuse to sit around eating while pretending we're being sociable. 🤣

But first, we need to decide what we're watching!

🎃 Are we going Halloween and spooky?
😂 Something funny?
💕 A proper girly film?
🎬 Or something completely different?

🦋💜 INTRODUCING THE COCOON 💜🦋

We've been busy creating something a little different upstairs at Shakers!

The Cocoon is our new quiet, sensory-friendly space, designed for children and young people who sometimes need a break from the noise, crowds and general chaos that comes with a Shakers session.

Whether they're feeling overwhelmed, need a moment to regulate, or simply fancy somewhere calmer to relax, The Cocoon offers a space to do just that.

With comfy seating, soft lighting, calming sounds and sensory resources, we're hoping to make Shakers an even more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. 💜

It's still a work in progress, with a few finishing touches to come, but The Cocoon is now available to use during our youth sessions! 🦋

Because as much as we love the noise, laughter and chaos at Shakers, we appreciate that sometimes it can all get a bit much.

And let's face it, even the volunteers could do with somewhere to escape occasionally. 😂💜

Doors open at 5pm for our school Year 7+ lot!

🎱 Pool, games, music, activities and all the usual Shakers nonsense.

🍔 Burgers on the menu tonight! Kevin's in charge of the cooking, so we'll leave that there. 👀😂

Come down, grab some food, catch up with your mates and give the staff something to do. Apparently standing around drinking coffee isn't enough. 🙄

We were going to give the staff a spooky makeover too, but frankly, it seemed unnecessary. 😬😂

Shakers Youthy is back tomorrow for our Wednesday session — School Years 4–6, 5:00–6:30pm!

🍔 On the menu: Burgers & chips — with plenty of extras to pile on if you fancy them! Cheese, salad, onions, pepperoni, crispy onions, pickles and plenty of sauces 😋

🍔 Food

We’ve been closed for a week, so we’re expecting impeccable behaviour tomorrow.
