Seeds of Change

Tonight's scouts session sees both Beavers and Cubs exploring Islamophobia- with the badge being supported by the Muslim Scouts Fellowship, we aim to promote understanding, respect and Inclusivity in Scouts and the wider community.

The sections will explore how small actions can lead to big changes, aswell as comparing Scout Law values with Islamic values and the 5 pillars.

Ready for change, Ready for conversations.

All our Beavers learning how to pitch a tent ⛺️ It helps develop skills that will help them throughout their lives, such as decision making, teamwork, independence and outdoor skills and appreciation.

They did a fantastic job and a reminder of some do’s & don’ts:
Some do’ and don’ts:-

✅ Do find a nice clean space
✅Do check all the parts of the tent is in the bag.
✅Check info on bag of the tent, weight, height, Xperson tent.
✅Do take off shoes before entering the tent, No muddy shoes please.

❌Don’t touch inside of the tent, rain could come in.
❌Don’t wear shoes in the tent
❌Don’t pack away wet as will be smelly and mouldy.
❌Don’t run around the tent, you could trip on a guy line.

SAFETY FIRST, SAFETY ALWAYS.

This evening Cubs continued with their Personal Safety badge, tackling issues around Online Safety, and keeping and knowing Emergency contact details.

With Phone number Bingo fun and Word scramble activities, they were tasked and empowered to create and lead their own session through a pack forum....... looking forward to seeing how this one pans out, get ready for CUBS TAKEOVER.

ODD SOCKS- ANTI-BULLYING- CHOOSE RESPECT 2024

Our Scouts showed their support to stamp out Bullying! Standing together and accepting it's OK to be different, we talked about what is acceptable behaviour and what is not.

BEAVER BELIEVERS- Our Islamic Skills for Life.

Following on the Skills for life theme, this week our Beavers learned the important life skill of performing Wudu (Ablution),

They learnt WHEN, WHY and HOW to perform the ritual aswell as what else you can use if no water around, and what breaks the state of Ablution.
