Victorious Voices Take Centre Stage!
Victorious Voices 2026 was a truly special afternoon at the historic Stockport Plaza, where voices from all fifteen of our schools came together in harmony, giving our pupils the opportunity to discover new talents, develop their confidence and experience the excitement of performing on a professional stage. Now in its fifth year, Victorious Voices has grown from a performance in a school hall to memorable events at Dukinfield Town Hall and this year we reached a new milestone by moving to Stockport Plaza, allowing us, for the first time, to invite families and friends to watch.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and supported our young performers, creating memories that will stay with everyone for years to come.
Our pupils showcased their talents, enthusiasm and dedication through a fantastic programme of songs that represented the Victorious Values of . From 'Try Everything' and 'When I Grow Up' to 'My Way' and 'Count on Me', every performance demonstrated the confidence and determination that we strive to nurture across our schools. The powerful finale, A Million Dreams, brought over four hundred of our children together in one voice. It was a fitting celebration of unity, aspiration and the bright futures ahead for our young people.

We would like to thank our wonderful pupils for their outstanding performances, our dedicated staff and Victorious Voices leads for their hard work and commitment, as well as our parents, carers and families for their continued support. We would also like to thank the team at Stockport Plaza for helping to make the event such a fantastic success.

View our montage below and relive some of the highlights from an unforgettable afternoon as well as some behind-the-scenes moments from rehearsals.

🎉 Celebrating Young Writing Talent Across our Trust 🎉
We are incredibly proud of our pupils, Hibbah from Holden Clough Primary and Elijah from Wild Bank Primary, who were selected as finalists in The Lowry's Creative Writing Challenge.

Chosen from more than 1,000 entries from across the North West, Hibbah and Elijah were among just 20 finalists recognised in the prestigious competition.

Hibbah impressed judges with her short story, The Monster, while Elijah's playscript, What's in the Bush?, was inspired by a creative writing workshop delivered by The Lowry's learning team and was later brought to life through a class performance.

Their achievements reflect not only their creativity and confidence, but also the importance of providing pupils with opportunities to develop their writing, communication and self-expression skills.

Significantly, this is the second consecutive year that Holden Clough Primary has celebrated a finalist in the competition, highlighting the school's ongoing success in nurturing young writers.

Karen Burns, our Chief Executive Officer, said:
"We are incredibly proud of Hibbah and Elijah. Their creativity, commitment and confidence have shone throughout this process and being given the opportunity to share their work as finalists in The Lowry's Creative Writing Challenge is a tremendous achievement. Their success reflects the talent of our pupils and the dedication of our staff in nurturing a love of writing and self-expression across our schools."

Congratulations to both pupils on this fantastic achievement. 👏📚✨

THREE primary schools in Tameside have worked to improve their local neighbourhoods by participating in litter picking sessions.

Pupils from Gorse Hall Primary School, Stalybridge, Aldwyn Primary School and Greenside Primary School took part in litter picks throughout May, playing their part in keeping Tameside tidy and tackling litter. Aldwyn Primary and Greenside Primary are part of the Victorious Academies Trust.

Schools organised their own initiatives for the litter picks, but all made use of Tameside Council’s local Litter Hubs for equipment, including bags, high-vis vests, pickers and bin rings ensuring they had everything they needed.

The litter picks also supported the Great British Spring Clean, a national campaign encouraging cleaner boroughs.

Tameside Council’s ‘Our Streets’ campaign encourages residents to take responsibility and pride in their local area, all year round.

Litter Hubs are located across Tameside, and are available to help volunteers, groups, and residents carry out their own litter-picking sessions with ease.

Cllr Laura Boyle, Tameside Council Executive Member for Environmental Services and Neighbourhoods, said: “Absolutely great work from all the schools involved in carrying out their own litter picks, and helping to contribute to a tidier borough. It’s a great way to build good habits and encourage pride and responsibility in their neighbourhoods.

“We really encourage residents to reach out to local Litter Hubs and get involved in hosting litter picks. Little contributions make a great difference.”

To take part in your own litter pick, find a Litter Hub near you.

We’re delighted to share the fantastic outcome of Holden Clough Primary School’s latest Ofsted inspection 🎉

Under the new, more demanding Ofsted framework, Holden Clough achieved a “strong” judgement for achievement and is currently the only primary school in Tameside to receive this in any area!

Inspectors highlighted pupils’ excellent progress, positive attitudes to learning and the supportive, inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to succeed.

A huge well done to pupils, staff and the whole school community – a result to be incredibly proud of!
