Do you know your blood pressure? Around a third of people in the UK have high blood pressure, and most don’t know it because it often has no symptoms.

The good news is that you can get your blood pressure checked for free without the need to book a GP appointment. Many GP surgeries in Surrey have self-service machines, and lots of pharmacies will happily carry out a quick check for you too.

🏡 Going Home from Hospital: What You Need to Know

Research shows that once you’ve had the care you need in hospital, going home can help you recover faster.

If extra support is needed, we’ll arrange help at home or nearby to keep you on track.

To get ready for going home, don’t hesitate to ask your healthcare team these important questions:
• What is wrong with me?
• What will happen next?
• What can I do to help myself get better?
• When am I likely to go home?

By working with your doctors and nurses, you can help speed up your recovery and feel more confident about leaving hospital.

☀️ Hot Weather Alert – Keep Cool & Stay Safe 🌡️

High temperatures can be dangerous, especially for older people, young children, and those with health conditions.

💧 Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water, avoid excess alcohol.

🏠 Keep your home cool – close blinds/curtains, shade rooms.

🕶️ Avoid the midday sun – stay in the shade between 11am–3pm.

🧢 Dress light – loose, light-coloured clothing & sun protection.

🚶 Take it easy – avoid strenuous activity during the hottest hours.

Check on neighbours, friends, and family who may be at risk. ❤️

Did you know that it’s unsafe to throw medicines down the toilet? This can pollute rivers and seas.
Take old medicines and inhalers back to the pharmacy for safe disposal.
