We are a friendly Club based in Northumberland that cater for all abilities and bow styles.

The Archery Club was founded on the 10th November 2001 by Albert Crouth and his wife Joyce. Along with a few of their friends they met when ever they could at Ashington High School and the club became known as Green Lane Disabled Archers. The club later moved to Newbiggin Sports Centre and expanded to include able bodied archers. With Albert’s relentless enthusiasm the club secured grants to purch

ase an extensive range of beginners bows, club equipment and trophies that we still use today. Albert was a great character and had a way to bring out the best in everybody. More than just a coach, he was loved by everyone but sadly died in 2006 after a long struggle with cancer. The club still holds true to Albert’s values and honours his memory every year with a tournament known as The Albert Crouth Memorial Trophy. This tournament takes place in March each year and we shoot a Worcester round.

Our times have changed 😀🏹

Outdoor shooting times are now Tuesday, Thursday evening 5-8pm and Saturdays 1-5pm.

All times and days are subject to the weather and rugby fixtures

The outdoor season has begun 🤩!!

With Saturday 25th March as our final indoor shoot before next October.

Outdoor shooting through April will be Tuesday, Thursday afternoon/evening 3-7pm and Saturdays 10-4pm. As the evenings extend we’ll shift timings accordingly 4pm through to 7pm

For those of you who are unsure where to find it we are based at Ashington Rugby Club, Ellington Road, NE63 8TP, pitch number 3, a short walk across the football pitch and up a wooded pathway.

Frostbite shoot, set up at 12:00. Shoot starts at 12:30

Food will be provided after the shoot for those who'd like to stay and socialize for a while 😀

Due to the frostbite shoot on Saturday morning, the normal club shoot has been cancelled ❄️🏹

For those who are attending the frostbite shoot the set up time is 10:00 and sighters will be at 10:30, best of luck archers 🤞
