Since 1931 we have helped people learn photography.
Since 1931 Ashington Camera club has helped people learn photography. This has been achieved by members giving their time to teach others, through workshops, talks from industry professionals, and fun competitions.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming club. Anyone is welcome to join the club, we just ask you enjoy photography of any kind. We welcome those just picking up their first camera, to the professional who’s honed his craft over the years. There is no need to have a big DSLR either if you just have a smartphone or any camera you are more than welcome to join our club.
In recent years the club has been focused more on giving back to the community of Ashington. We have worked with the Town Council photographing events for them. We also have done some work with charities in the area and every Christmas we make a donation to a local charity instead of giving each other cards.
