UPDATE ON FAILURE TO CONSULT CLAIM
Dear Colleague,
We have had confirmation that large numbers of you have now been paid the failure to consult
claim, which GMB fought and won on your behalf. We have however been contacted by some
people who have either not lodged a claim or who believe that they have been paid the wrong
amount.

This should be done as soon as possible.
If you believe that you have been paid the wrong amount:
We have been contacted by a number of part-time members who believe that they have been
paid the wrong amount. We are currently checking with the Insolvency Service to work out as to
how part-time workers’ pay has been calculated and whether this should have been on a prorata basis or on actual working days.
We hope to be able to confirm the position on this shortly and will communicate further once this
has been clarified.
Should this not satisfactorily resolve the issue, GMB will take all necessary steps to ensure that you
get your full amount.
