An equine charity has called on the government to consider alternative learning provisions in its plans under its SEND consultation.

When offering horse riding to members of the public, riding schools must meet strict standards set by the local authority. This includes detailed inspections of tack and equipment, facilities, safeguarding policies, first aid provision, electrics, fire safety, and the overall welfare and condition of the horses and ponies. Including vaccinations, saddle checks, physio and dentistry. Each pony also undergoes health assessments, including trot-ups, eye checks, and heart examinations.

We are incredibly proud to announce that what is now Billsington Therapeutic Stables has once again been awarded a 5-Star rating recognising the high standards of care, welfare, safety, and service that we provide for both our horses and our clients. Working alongside Ashford Borough Council for our 24th year of licensing.
