Day 1 at the Children’s Commissioners’ Conference!

The Caldecott team is delighted to be attending the Children’s Commissioners’ Conference at The Hayes Conference Centre today and tomorrow. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with commissioners and sector professionals who are all committed to improving the lives of children and young people.

We’re excited to share the work we’re doing across our residential, fostering, education, and therapeutic services, while learning from others across the sector.

We are absolutely delighted to share that The Caldecott Foundation has been named a finalist in the Large Charity of the Year category at the Kent Charity Awards 2026. 💙

Following the honour of being awarded Children's Charity of the Year in 2025, it means so much to once again be recognised alongside so many incredible organisations making a difference across Kent.

With a record number of entries received this year, we are deeply grateful to the organisers, sponsors and judging panel for celebrating the work of charities across the county and for providing us with the opportunity to showcase the impact being made by our dedicated colleagues, foster carers, trustees, volunteers and partners.

This recognition belongs to everyone who supports our mission and works tirelessly to help children, young people and families thrive. Thank you for everything you do.

Congratulations to all of this year's finalists. We wish every charity the very best of luck in the next stage of the judging process.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our pupils, James on achieving his Chief Scout’s Silver Award, the highest award a Cub Scout can earn! 🏆

To achieve this prestigious award, James has shown outstanding commitment, determination, and perseverance by completing a wide range of challenges, activities, and badges. His hard work and dedication have truly paid off.

This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of everything that Scouting is about: developing skills, building confidence, and striving to do your best.

🌟 A Huge Thank You to Team Saga! 🌟

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to Team Saga for an amazing Volunteer Day at Caldecott.

Thanks to your hard work, creativity and enthusiasm, our Wendy houses have been transformed into a wonderful Caldecott Village, complete with a Post Office 📮, Fire Station 🚒 and Café ☕!

These fantastic spaces will inspire imaginative play, learning and social interaction for the children and families we support for years to come.

Thank you for giving your time and energy to make such a positive difference. We couldn’t have done it without you! 💙

We have a limited number of charity places available for the London Marathon 2027 and are now inviting expressions of interest from anyone who would like to run in support of Caldecott Foundation.

What an incredible day! ⛳️✨

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Charity Golf Day on Friday 15th May. This was our biggest event to date, with an amazing 25 teams taking part and helping to make the day such a success.

We are so grateful to all the businesses and supporters who got involved, including Early Birds Bespoke Building Company, Lister Wilder Agriculture, Barclays UK, Saga, King roofing, Brewers Decorator Centres, Smart Office Group, Starkings Scaffolding Ltd, J&H Property Developments, FAS, Premier Foods and Neil Redding from Ashford Radio - just to name a few!
Your support means the world to us and to the children we support ❤️

The professional photos have arrived, and we’re so excited to share some of our favourite moments from a truly fantastic day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible — your generosity and continued support allow us to keep creating these wonderful opportunities for our children.

A special mention also goes to Shane "The Showman" Cooper an amazing 7-year-old golfer who joined us and brought so much joy and inspiration to the day! ⛳️⭐

What an absolutely brilliant day for the Caldecott Foundation charity golf day 🥇⛳️

Really enjoyed being out there with Team Showman, so much brilliant golf played by all, Well done to my Dad, The Goatch and Karlos we managed to finished in the top of the table in 4th place 🙌😁

So happy to have managed to get crowned the individual champion playing against 99 other gentleman. Being the only kid out there competing in this event against adults I really wanted to do my best. I broke 90 once again shooting an 88 gross with a net score of -17 which I am so happy with as this was my first ever time place the lovely Ashford Golf Club 🏌️‍♂️🏆

Thank you so much to Carly, Millie and CEO Nick for looking after us and always checking inn on the team. We didn’t want for a thing and are already looking forward to your next one. Hats all to you all for all the great things you have done and are doing for those not so fortunate children out there. You are all angels 🙏💙
