Ashbourne Methodist Church invites friends from all of the churches in the area to share in a Service of Dedication for The Link Centre & Gateway Lodge.

Everyone is invited to our Service of Dedication for The Link Centre & Gateway Lodge on Saturday 22nd August 2026.

Doors open at 2pm and the service starts at 2.30pm.

We are pleased that we will be joined by The Revd Mark Slaney & Caroline Stead, President & Vice President of the Methodist Conference.

Thank you for your support during Christian Aid Week. As a town, we raised a grand total of £2,081.01

Thank you for supporting farmers like Aurelia to protect their communities from hunger and poverty.

A total of 47 people volunteered as part of Christian Aid Week in Ashbourne, meaning it was a real team effort.

The same week, it was our cake stall at Tissington Well Dressings, which raised £1,783.07 for Christian Aid. Another amazing result!

Thank you to everyone who supported the cake stall at Tissington Well Dressing, raising money for Christian Aid.

Over the 4 days of the stall, 6 hours per day, we raised a grand total of £1,783.07.

THANK YOU to the bakers, the stall-staffers, the re-stockers, the organisers, and the money-counters. You are all amazing!

Huge thanks also to Gala Tent who generously donated this tent to us in 2013 - it's still going strong! Over the years we've had the tent, the cake stall has raised a total of £13,580.55. Thank you for your support.

We are all set for our epic 4-day cake stall at Tissington Well Dressings and there's even a hint of sun ☀️

10am-4pm today, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

All cakes have been donated by local volunteers and proceeds go to Christian Aid.

Next week is Christian Aid Week and many people from local churches will be fundraising to support Christian Aid's work. Ashbourne Churches Together is involved in two fundraising activities this week...

An amazing bunch of volunteers from the town will be delivering envelopes to houses. If you'd like to make a donation towards Christian Aid's work, that would be great.

Last year, Ashbourne people donated £2254.50 during Christian Aid Week - amazing!

Secondly, we'll be selling delicious home-made cakes at Tissington Well Dressings this week. The epic 4-day cake stall will be open from 10am - 4pm every day from Thursday 14th - Sunday 17th May.

Visitors to Tissington love all of our cakes - whether it's chocolate cake, victoria sponge, fruit loaf or fairy cakes. Last year, we raised £1770.87 - which is a LOT of cake - and makes a huge difference to Christian Aid's work around the world.

And because our cake stall has been running for over 40 years, people know we'll be there with our delicious sweet treats.

And if you are a baker and would like to donate a cake, please contact us - we sell about 1000 portions of cake so any help with baking is always appreciated!

Both activities are organised by Ashbourne Churches Together - raising funds for Christian Aid.

Christian Aid supports people of all faiths and of none, working with local partners around the world to make sure people get the support they need.
