Between April 2025 and March 2026, young people doing their DofE through Scouts gave an amazing 193,804 hours of their time to help their communities.

That’s the equivalent of £1,463,131 in social value! 🙌

This weekend we have a pop up cafe at the tissington well dressings. Come and have a slice of cake or scone with homemade jam and see what a fabulous job the cubs did making their very own well dressing.

The District came together to celebrate St George’s Day with a Parade and a Promise Renewal. The youngsters (and their Leaders) had a great time riding on the trams and enjoying playing outside.

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that our recent Squirrel Scout taster session was a huge success! 🐿️ The enthusiasm, energy, and number of young people wanting to get involved has been incredible.

Because of this, we’re now hoping to open a second Squirrel Scout Drey to give even more 4–6 year olds the chance to start their Scouting adventure.

But we need your help… 👇

🙋 We’re looking for adult volunteers to step forward as leaders to help set up and run this new Drey. No prior experience is needed – just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to make a difference. Full support and training will be provided through The Scout Association.
