This week the Happy Hearts Club, welcomed Willie Holmes back for a wonderful morning of singing and music. 🎶

Willie, who helps to run the Fermanagh Dementia Singing Group, brought along his vast array of music, with plenty of familiar favourites that soon had everyone joining in. There were smiles, laughter and lots of voices raised in song! 🎤🎶

There’s something very special about music and singing together - it brings back memories, lifts the mood and simply makes you feel good.

A huge thank you to Willie for once again giving us such an enjoyable morning.

🎄 Don’t forget our upcoming Christmas Craft Fair fundraiser. Funds raised will help support the running of Happy Hearts Club, as well as contributing towards facilities at Belnaleck GAC for the benefit of our wider community. We would be so grateful for your support. ❤️

Happy Hearts welcomed back Seamus Doris this week. Seamus guided the group through a fun and very competitive session of New Age Curling. 🥌 There was plenty of tactical play going on, along with lots of laughs and friendly rivalry! 😉

We ended the morning, by special request, with Seamus swapping the curling for a song 👨‍🎤 a lovely way to end another enjoyable session.

Happy Hearts club welcomed Amanda from Ulster Bank this week. She provided a very informative and enlightening talk on fraud and scams.

Amanda spoke about the different types of scams currently in circulation, including mail and phone scams, online scams and doorstep scams.

She shared lots of practical advice on how to recognise the warning signs and protect ourselves, including tips for shopping safely online and the importance of not clicking on links in text messages, emails or social media posts unless you are completely sure they are from a trusted source.

Everyone received useful handouts with further information on scams, ways to stay safe and important contacts should they ever need help or advice.

A sincere thank you to Amanda for taking the time to join us and for sharing so much helpful information. It was certainly a very worthwhile session for everyone.

We are back in the main hall next week and look forward to seeing everyone again. New members are always welcome 💕
