We appreciate your input and messages about parking at Emain Macha. We’ll bring your suggestions to our next quarterly meeting for discussion.

As a potential solution, parking at Navan Centre car park in the evening could be explored.

We encourage members of the public to contact their local councillor on this issue. The Navan Centre is council-run and operates independently from the Department of Communities, which is responsible for Emain Macha.

We need your help !!
keeping Emain Macha accessible.
Please avoid double parking on the road outside the entrance. Local residents rely on this route to come and go from their homes, and several have reported difficulty getting past.
Let’s be mindful and keep the road clear for everyone. Thank you for supporting our neighbors and keeping access open for all.

NFHG recently held its quarterly meeting with the Departments of Communities. As we head into bird-nesting season, please ensure hedge cutting and maintenance are completed before March. Parts of the site are cordoned off for safety please avoid those areas when possible.
And a quick reminder! dog owners, please pick up after your dogs this site isn’t a public toilet for dogs.

Mal's Neolithic Macha is a simple, non-human carving from the felled ash Tree in a very old Neolithic style. linking ancient memory to a living landscape inviting everyone to connect with themes of power, protection, and the land itself. The ash wood, with its strong grain and yearly rings, speaks of seasons and journeys between worlds. By choosing a Neolithic form, Mal emphasizes memory over a single portrait, showing how Belief and ritual evolve while the land's memory endures.A place of kingship, ritual, and gathering, becomes a timeless marker—a bridge from deep past to the present, inviting reflection on how beliefs change yet memory stays.
King Conner Mc Nassa, Cathbad & Nuada of the silver Arm are also beautifully carved!
The NFAHG wants to thank everyone who donated towards the carving which is nearly finished. We recently learnt that the carving has to go to planning before being installed and displayed on the grounds at Navan Centre which was previously agreed and unfortunately will delay this beautiful work by Mal ONeill being displayed for people to enjoy . Thankyou.
