Our scheduled book sale in the playground tomorrow after school will not go ahead due to the expected weather forecast.

However, the books will be available to purchase at the Open Evening on the evening of the 7th in the hall 🙂

FREE AFTERSCHOOL CLUB this Wednesday, all Gothic Mede students are invited for a free musical theatre lesson this Wednesday after school. As a free trial to see whether your little one would like to join our Wednesday afterschool programme. School pick up and Classes run until until 4.30pm.
We are so lucky to have Abbie Kear who is a qualified music therapist working with us during these sessions. Live music! Real theatre! With Abbie and Kat! Kat has over 20 years experience working in film, theatre and tv.
KatsAct has been teaching since 2011 and puts on award winning shows, all staff are fully up to date with safeguarding, children in entertainment, pediatric first aid trained and have training and experience working with SEND.
We are only allowing 15 children in to this Wednesdays class, this will expand after half term. Classes will usually be £6.50 a week.

Sports Day tomorrow everyone!
There will be a coffee van on site during Sports Day for the parents and after school, the icecream van will pay a visit also!

FRIDAY!!

Bring all your unwanted items bagged up before 9.30am for our last Happy Bags collection of this school year. If you require more bags, please visit the school office.

Happy School Bag is a scheme which allows schools to easily raise funds through collecting unwanted, sellable/reusable clothing. If you are planning a declutter in your home over the next few weeks, the PFGM (Parents and Friends of Gothic Mede) could use your clothing to raise much needed funds for Gothic Mede Academy.
Happy School Bag accept donations of:
Adults and children’s clothing (not school uniform)
● Paired shoes
● Console Games and souvenirs
● Handbags, belts, hats and accessories
●Jewellery, toiletries and perfumes.

The more donations we collect, the more the PFGM will receive. Our next donation/collection date is Friday 10th July 2026. Any collection bags are accepted, but we ask that they are not overfilled. Donations were handed out in school last week, so please check your child's book bag for these. If you require more donation bags, these can be picked up from the front office. Donations cannot be accepted before 10th July 2025. The collection drop off point will be signposted on the day and will be by the schools kitchens. Please drop off your donations by 9am.
