Friockheim Community Hub Limited confirms that it has ceased operations with immediate effect.
After an urgent review of the organisationโs financial position, the Board of Trustees has taken the difficult decision to seek to close the charity as it is no longer able to meet its financial obligations or continue trading.
Despite sustained efforts to secure additional funding, reduce operating costs, and explore all viable alternatives, the charity has reached a position where continued operation is not financially sustainable.
As a result, all services have now ceased.
โThe Board of Trustees deeply regrets this outcome. This decision has been made only after exhausting all reasonable options to maintain operations. We recognise the impact this will have on staff, service users, and the wider community, and we are profoundly grateful for the dedication and commitment shown by all those involved in the organisation.โ
The Board is taking appropriate steps to comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including notifying relevant authorities and engaging with professional advisers. This includes liaison with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and any other applicable statutory bodies.
The closure is the result of an irreversible cash flow failure, which has left the organisation unable to meet its ongoing financial obligations. All appropriate processes will now be followed
The Board extends its sincere gratitude to staff, volunteers, partners, funders, and supporters who have contributed to the charityโs work.
This decision has been made with deep regret and only as a result of unavoidable financial circumstances.
