By the time the rain went off and before the storm arrived there was only time for a short hill walk today so I did it a bit quicker😁 Wee but breezy but no big deal, bit of sun would have been nice though.
Straight out the back door and up the hill for a 7 mile circuit. Photo was taken from the high point of the walk looking straight up Glen Clova.
Very near the target figure now, watch this space.

Just a short one (7 miles) today as I was at a car event in the morning.
Not exactly an enticing day for a hill walk as it was overcast, grey, and very low cloud but after 2 days off I needed some exercise. 37 miles done already and we’re still on week 1🙂

Day 1 of the October 100 mile Scottish Charity Air Ambulance challenge completed and what a way to start. Set off to do ( 16km) 10miles but due to deer stalking and Muir Burning I had to alter my planned route a little and ended up doing 25.5km or 16 miles and a fair bit more altitude into the bargain. Well I did say I liked a challenge😁

Tomorrow (1st Oct) is the first day of the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance 100mile challenge and the weather looks pretty good for this week to get me started🙂

I’ve set myself quite a challenge by aiming to do my 100 miles via hillwalking and off road walking but I’m looking forward to it.

Just signed myself up to try and raise money for a great cause; Scotlands Charity Air Ambulance.
I saw these guys being called into action whilst on a car run with some mates in a fairly remote area when 2 motorbikes went off the road in front of us leaving them both very badly injured. If it hadn’t been for the prompt actions of the air ambulance service these guys simply wouldn’t be here now.

I’m not making this an easy challenge for myself as I’m going to do my 100miles off road/ in the hills.
