Weather permitting today Alex should get across from Mallaig to Armadale. His wild rover plan for the next few days is Armadale - Broadford - Sconser & Carbost. Hi there I saw your post re Tony padget, Tony was a school friend of mine and we were close friends untill our early twenties when his marriage and my joining the army sent us in different directions, last year after hearing Tony was very ill I contacted him and we met up down here in Yorkshire, He was very proud of his association with the boat pull and the people of applecross of which he spoke of with great affection, Tony or Paddy as he was known to us down here was a great friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him, I wish you all great success in all your further endevours and thanks for taking my mate into your hearts. It is with a very heavy heart I write this but one of our friends who has been involved with the Boatpull since we started, approximately 15 years ago Tony Padgett a great charity fund raiser for many years not only for the the Boatpull but for many other charities has passed away after the most courages battle against cancer I have known. Tony was a friend to many as well as a great family man, nothing was too much trouble I have many many stories that will be talked about when we get together with friends and family. Tony will live on for many many years and will never be forgotten. We all miss you my friend, but will never forget you, rest in peace.
