Electric Eden is a small, community festival located in Jubilee Park in Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria. Bringing together community spirit and amazing live (and often locally sourced) music we promise a fun filled weekend for one and all! We encourage local acts and the community to get up and show off your talents, no matter what style or genre and we hope to make the festival as environmentally
-friendly as possible; living in the beautiful place we do, we do not want anything ruining it! In 2012 we launched the festival; receiving an amazing response by all; opening with a day and evening filled with top class live 'dance' music on Saturday 7th and closing with a fun-for-all family day on Sunday 8th. We also raised money for the Great North Air Ambulance while doing so! Saturday, a day for ages 16+, saw the likes of GenreSluts and Craig Sowerby getting the crowds up and dancing before the night closed with well known DJ Dom Kane! Sunday, a day for all the family, saw live bands crossing many genres; no matter what mood you were in, we had the music for you! Not Amused and the Electronic Pimp rocked out to crowds of all ages before the evening was closed by Penrith based band Dynamo! However, Electric Eden 2012 had more than just one tent of music! We had a full bar, a Real Ale Bar and Hog-Roast provided by The Stag Inn, refreshments of all varieties provided by The Village Store Brough, facepainting, gladiator games and sumo suits, small rides for the kids and our very own Live Lounge filled with comfy sofas and an open mic for anyone and everyone to jump up and entertain the crowds! This year we promise to be bigger and better!
