1st Muckamore Scout Group The Scout Group in Muckamore has been operating for 100 years, celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2025/26!

Cubs 8-10.5 years old: Wednesday 6.30pm - 8.00pm
Scouts 10.5-14 years old: Wednesday 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Explorers 14-18 years old: Wednesday 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Our cub section will start back on Wed 15 April. Muckamore Community Centre at 630pm.

We welcome girls and boys between the ages of 7yrs 6mths to 10yrs 6mths.

Are you over 18 and considering or interested in a volunteering role? We are always on the lookout for new adult members, so whether you have great ideas for games, the outdoors, or even love a bit of admin and can commit some time (does not matter if it is a scout "hour a week" or once a month) give us a shout or pop in for a chat! Support and training provided.

We meet on Wedneday nights at Muckamore Community, 6.30 - 8pm for junior section, 8 - 9.30pm for senior sections.

Hi Everyone. Cubs and Scouts start back on Wednesday 17 September.

Cubs 6.30 - 8pm
Scouts 8 - 9.30pm

We are open to boys and girls of all abilities between the ages of 7.5 years and 18 years old, and new members are always welcome.

We are also on the lookout for adult volunteers. If you have ever thought about volunteering and have no clue where to start, message the page!

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our much loved leader,Sam Wilson, passed away last evening. Sam became a leader in 1966 and was a firm believer and advocate in the power of scouting for young people.

A traditionalist in many ways he also recognised the importance to progress and move forward with new developments and he nurtured many new leaders over the years.

He was a leader and Akela in Muckamore for well over 45 years before retirement and we will miss him greatly.

Sam, forever our Akela, gone home 22 August 2025.

We would like to thank all who came along on 18th June to join us in our 100th celebration, from past members and their families, past leaders, current members and families and leaders and some new faces. We loved the buzz in the hall as people caught up and looked at the display of photos and memorabilia on show!
Current members and leaders will all receive a commerative badge, but we also have a number for sale at £2.50 (plus p&p if needed) for anyone who wants one, please message the page!

The group is now on summer break, but we are always on the look out for new members, from young people aged between 7 and a half years old to 18 years old to join Scouting and adults who would be interested in volunteering, if you would like more information, again, please message the page.
