Traumality

Time, people and Love Made Practical A reflection after the Northern Ireland premiere of Traumality On Thursday evening, I joined the panel at the Northern Ireland premiere of Traumality at The MAC in Belfast. I was alongside clinicians, practitioners and people leading change in how we understand trauma and respond to human distress. A day in the life of FME

After the Fresh Little Minds Resilience Teacher Training finished today we handled risk assessments and event changes due the incoming storms 😔 Then Adam and Oscar arrived in with the drills and shelving so that we could finish our storage which Ashley from Asda helped me with this week. Our space is teeny tiny and it takes loads of consistant care to keep things in order so that the next group arriving in can find what they need for their work. Next step will be fixing the curtain but we will need some sewing help and more diy to get that done - so that will have to wait for another day. Happy Friday 💫🙏

And we are off again for another year of SUNRISE 🌄.

Congratulations to these group of teachers who completed the SUNRISE Teacher Training today and will now get to bring their very own Amber into their classrooms. 🐶

Throughout the year the children will go on an adventure with Amber exploring their emotions, having fun with their breathe and moving that stuck energy out of their bodies.

Have fun and can't wait to hear all about it 🌈

Bereavement Support Coordinator Meets Local Councillor

Fresh Minds Education was excited to introduce Marie in her new role as Bereavement Support Coordinator in the charity to local Antrim & Newtownabbey Councillor, Roisn Lynch. It's a really hopeful time for our charity who had been generously supported by the local council through the Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium Metals Fund. This support is being used within our charity to secure Marie for this important and central role which will enable our charity to support more people throughout the borough....

It is fantastic to have amazing people in our province like Mandy & Donal who deliver their Hope Matters Programme through their company Resilio which has such wonderful human beings working in it all helping to help cultivate hope. 🐘Suicide Prevention | Counselling Students🐘

Yesterday was a busy day for our Senior Ambassador, Michelle Major, who delivered two su***de prevention sessions!

The afternoon session brought Michelle back to Northern Regional College Ballymena campus to meet their new intake of counselling students.

It was wonderful to reconnect with the college, share this important training, and explore the vital role we all play in su***de prevention.

Thank you to everyone who took part, shared their thoughts, and helped create such a meaningful and rich learning space.

🐘Suicide Awareness | Antrim Area Hospital🐘

Our Senior Ambassador, Michelle delivered su***de awareness training to the Pharmacy Department at Antrim Area Hospital this morning.

Creating opportunities to have open, compassionate conversations about su***de is so important. By increasing awareness, recognising the signs that someone may be struggling, and building confidence in how to respond, we can all play a part in supporting those who may be experiencing emotional distress.

A big thank you to the Pharmacy Department for welcoming us and for taking the time to engage with this important topic.

Together, we can continue to break down stigma, build connection, and create a culture where people feel safe to reach out for support.
