Each year, we pour our hearts into organizing the sensational Annual Christmas Lights Switch-On event that takes place on the first Saturday in December. This magical occasion doesn’t just happen overnight; it takes months of meticulous planning, creativity, an

d determination to ensure every detail shines. We are always on the lookout for innovative fundraising opportunities and invite more community members to join our efforts. Together, we can make this year and every year’s celebration even more spectacular! Thanks to the incredible support of the residents and the local shops and businesses, we can provide a gift for the children who eagerly gather to meet Santa. Their generosity adds to the warmth of our community spirit, making this event a new tradition for families. As part of the festivities, local groups and organizations join the lantern parade up to the Market Square, where the much-anticipated moment finally arrives. The Annan Young Citizen of the Year takes centre stage, flipping the switch that illuminates our town in a dazzling display of holiday lights, filling hearts with joy and holiday spirit. Yes, we know it's still August, but...
We are now taking applications for our extremely busy Christmas Craft Fayre on Switch On Day (Saturday 28th November). Tables cost £15 including a tea/coffee and a mince pie or shortbread. To apply please either email us at [email protected] or message us through the page. Please include your name, your business name and what sort of crafts you sell. We look forward to hearing from you and having another successful and fun Craft Fayre. 🎄

Annan Christmas Lights Committee is here at Kinmount House today. We have our fridge magnets, postcards and Christmas cards on sale. Hop on the free shuttle bus at the Queensberry and pop along and see us and all the other groups

DESTINATION KINMOUNT....TODAY!
Something for all the family today in the historic setting of Kinmount, near Annan DG12 5RH at the 'Past & Present' event
- For those without transport, there is a FREE shuttle bus operating throughout the afternoon to Kinmount starting at 12.15pm from the Queensberry Hotel, High Street, Annan
-Youngsters (age 6-16 years) invited to 'Come & Try' sporting activities - learn new skills in football, running & athletics. Free lunch pack for everyone who registers today.
-Children's magic shows, starting at 1.25pm
-Meet the medieval knight and his dragon, have your photo taken with our 'tall' surprise guest, wander around the craft stalls, relax at The Croft for food and refreshments, meet The Time Bandits
-Because of the nature of the event, NO DOGS please.
-All starts just after 12 noon. Please follow the signs to the designated car park area.
-FREE ADMISSION. Charity organisers, Annan The History Town Group, welcome any donations.
Kinmount (DG12 5RH) is just a few miles from Annan, on the main A75 to Dumfries.

Fancy something a little bit different? Get tickets for our Ceilidh Afternoon featuring the fantastic Nicky McMichan Scottish Ceilidh Band. Tickets are only £15 and include an afternoon of wonderful music, delicious food and a nice glass of prosecco!
