Annan Harbour Farmers and Producers Market returns tomorrow from 10am with more great opportunities to shop local, meet the makers and producers, and support a much-loved community event.
There’ll be meat, bread, butter, cheese, chocolate, chutneys, jams, cakes, bakes, honey, a selection of sweet treats, divine desserts, plus award-winning pies and beers. There will also be art and crafts, soaps, candles, and Annan Harbour Rowing Club's fundraising stall, featuring the popular tombola, and refreshments.
Organisers say: “People are travelling from far and wide to come to Annan Harbour Farmers and Producers Market and it's great to see locals and visitors making the trip every month to buy great farm produce and local goods, and to meet the people who produce them.
"The market is a meeting of great minds and big hearts, powered by passionate producers and fuelled by incredible community spirit. Come along, meet the makers, hear the stories, and experience the joy of the June market for yourself.”
The market is on until 2pm in the top car parking area in Port Street. There will be signs and people to direct you.

Join us tomorrow for our monthly Wetland Bird Survey!

No experience is needed - just turn up with your curiosity, suitable outdoor clothing, and binoculars if you have them. Whether you're new to birdwatching or an experienced birder, everyone is welcome. Enjoy a morning outdoors while contributing to one of the UK’s longest-running wildlife monitoring projects.

Meet at 8:00am on Annan Bridge, beside the Blue Bell Inn, for a walk along the river, past the harbour, and down to the shore. Join us for as much or as little of the walk as you like.

The Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS) has monitored the UK's non-breeding waterbirds since 1947, providing vital data that supports conservation efforts. Today, more than 3,000 volunteers carry out over 40,000 surveys each year at 3,400 sites across the UK.
