Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to bring together a new group of young leaders from across the island of Ireland for a Team Building Week.
Supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs - Reconciliation Fund ( )this week was all about building connections, developing leadership skills, and engaging meaningfully with the community.
Participants dove into a range of experiences, from healthy cooking workshops to outdoor challenges like wet bouldering and hiking that pushed them outside their comfort zones and strengthened trust within the group.
They took part in a powerful collaborative art workshop with members of Harry’s Mates, creating space for creativity, inclusion, and shared understanding.
Giving back was a key focus throughout the week, with participants volunteering in the local community through litter picks, yard work for residents, and supporting the FFE community gardens.
Alongside this, they engaged in a series of leadership workshops such as including public speaking as well as learning how to conduct a community needs assessment with Councillor Jill Truesdale, skills they’ll carry forward into their own communities.
This is just the beginning of their journey. We can’t wait to see how these young leaders continue to grow, connect, and create positive change.
