We love that that The Montrose Playhouse didn't let our leftover stovies go to waste! Yum!

Accessibility has been at the core of Angus Remembers. In this part of our website we explain what that means to us. We show how designer/maker Mickey Fenton, worked with the Angus community to make his benches fully accessible to everyone. Councillor Lois Speed helps to explain the meaning of accessibility for all.

Angus Remembers is part of the national Remembering Together project. It is managed by Greenspace and funded by the Scottish government.

Angus county and the pandemic.
💨🌈⛅️❄️🌊🗻🌅
The beauty of Angus is captured in this short film. Listen to Rebecca Connelly's beautiful 'Songbird' as we are given a bird's eye view of our incredible county. Hear the words of local writer, Eleanor Fordyce. Thank you to Phil Petrie and David Spink and to all of our contributors, for their fabulous footage (full acknowledgments in film). Thank you to Mark McGreehin.🎥

I'm honoured to be performing at the event today, launching their wonderful memorial benches, memory box, and website, commemorating the unprecedented events of the Covid-19 pandemic. Amongst other things, I'll be performing a song from the EP that I made during this time, A Sough O' War, setting poems by the Doric poet Charles Murray to music.

Angus Remembers would like to share this fully accessible film made with Arbroath Connections and How It Felt. The two groups were a perfect match! Thank you to all of the staff and the members of Arbroath Connections for being part of our project.
We hope this video helps to show how special groups like this are.
Let’s not ever take them for granted.
Arbroath Connections need your support to stay open.

People living with dementia were seriously affected by lockdowns. Important social and support groups were suspended. Established routines were disrupted. People felt isolated. Fantastic puppet company, How It Felt spent time with Arbroath Connections members.

Thank you to all of our Angus Remembers contributors.
